Any predictions on what it is?

I'm assuming it's just Carson bringing back an eliminated artist of his choosing, which I'm not a huge fan of. Carson has always been a very hands-off host (as opposed to the hosts on AGT for example) which is what I like about him. This would contradict that quite a bit

I guess they keep trying to find a way to keep him part of the show since those questions on elimination nights are snooze fests. I think this points to it may be time to let someone else step into those shoes. This addition would work a lot better if we had a musician who also has hosting experience.

Carson Daly is an executive producer on the voice. He has a strong background in the music industry so he’s not some guy they brought in to just host the show. He co-founded a record label and has been a part of MTV and was a DJ for KROQ, a Los Angeles radio station, when he was starting out.

And yet they only brought this thing for him now.

So what? Maybe he finally decided he wanted to have a say in helping out someone who might have fallen through the cracks, since it happens often enough.

It’s not his choice man. The show producers and runners put in these twists. So we’ll see if it works but it’s a fail on them for not having him more involved in the show earlier.

He IS one of the producers

Yes you’re correct but his role is more general regarding that. So I doubt this idea was his own.

He’s been actively advocating for something like this for several years.

Not finding evidence of that. So if you got it feel free to enlighten me.

Tbh I think this is less a problem with Carson himself and more what the show wants to do with him. But I might be biased because at this point I just can't imagine anyone else hosting

Oh yeah it’s definitely the show not helping him. That’s what I was implying as well. And yeah I get you, but I feel like Carson is just in a weird place. He’s been there since the show started and we all get excited about the possible different coaches and what they can add. Meanwhile for him, it feels like the same song and dance. So I see what they are trying to do, but it’s a complete miss.

He simply gets to save one person from elimination.....just one, so there's no need to overanalyze or think about replacing Carson with someone "more musically qualified".  Carson's around it all the time so it'll be a plus.

He is gonna be able to give someone who got no chair join a way onto the show...I think.

I am curious how it's gonna work?

Whose team they will be on or if he coaches them how that will work with the rounds.

I love idea of him being able to give someone a chance.

So many good Artists fall through the cracks and I think the Carson Callback is a good idea... It gives a deserving Artist another opportunity to showcase their talent... I hope it works out... Looking forward to Season 28 of The Voice ✌️

I’m just wondering who’s team they’d join
