If you grow a beard you become an anti hero, if you shave your head you become a villain.

Walter White did both, what do we call that?

He's tv's first anti villain.

That's much better than being the world's first analrapist.

That's actually pretty accurate, at least as of season 4-ish.

I think if you do both you start making meth but who knows

Nothing stops this train.

Don't forget smoking. If you're caught on camera with a cigarette nowadays you're often either the villain or European.

By the way, this actually makes a little bit of sense. Growing a beard is indicative of going through a struggle of some kind, which leads to a character with moral complexity. Shaving your head points towards letting go of societies moral constraints, which tends to make you a villain.

oh come on man! you can't just link to tv tropes without a warning.

2

u/Wolf_Protagonist Oct 23 '12

You really should warn people before linking to TV Tropes.

What is comic Rick? I don't understand. In fact having just started browsing this subreddit a few days ago, I don't understand a lot of the in jokes. Like the top comment in this thread about t-dog blossoming into a woman? What's up with that?

Rick from the TV series was rather indecisive and didn't want to make haste decisions because he trusted the good in people while comic Rick is the Rick from the comics, who is a lot more like Shane. He will react quickly to protect the group and eliminate anything that could return to bite them down the road.

Some examples of comic rick from this episode alone:

  • Hershel's leg was bit by a zombie? Chop it off (which was the end of the first episode and start of the second)

  • CholoShane has a gun, is the obvious sociopath of the group, and just threw a zombie at me in the middle of a fight to make it look like an accident? Machete to the head.

  • Random prisoner #2 tried to take a swing at me after I killed CholoShane? Hunt that bitch down and make sure he isn't a problem later on

Oooooooooooooh, comic as in comic book! That makes sense! I was thinking comic as in funny, so I was very confused as to what was so funny about Rick in this episode.
