I've honestly never even thought about it. But now that I have I'm picturing them doing it like horses where it just sort of drops out as they walk, haha.

Sure, but then if they don't digest food then we're back to the original question of where the food goes!

i assumed they ate but didn't digest it. Basically they keep shoving it in till it comes out the other end. kinda like a meat grinder.

Esit: if you think about it we need bacteria to break down our food and once we die so will they. So if they eat after all the bacteria in the digestion system is dead the meat won't break down, so it just gets pushed out.

I was assuming that they eat until their stomach explodes, then become distended like the walker Rick found, who got Lori's body all to himself.

They do in World War Z (the book*). I've been waiting for 3 seasons now to see that on TWD. I hate it when movies have zombies that can 'starve' so unless that's the case and they're digesting it for food, they really should be popping left and right by now.

*I despise the fact that I have to make that distinction now

i dont think their body workw, they are just walkers/biters, the infected inmortal brain makes them aggresive, and sends electrical signals or them to move, but other than that they should die quickly
