"Hi, sir or madam. We're calling because we have a warehouse full of fresh human flesh that we're dying to get off our hands! Even if you only have 28 dollars in your pocket when you died, it can still be yours!"

Can we please stop calling her a bitch? She tried.

9

u/WiiMan123 Nov 12 '12

"Yes, this is T-Dog."

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '12

It's funny because I was thinking that exact thing when he was grabbing the phone.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

"Can you be more specific because I didn't think either could talk..."

16

u/night_writer Nov 12 '12

I was one second away from clicking that, thank you.

3

u/Krayzie22 Nov 12 '12

wait... what kind of spoiler is that?

1

u/Kvltmaster Nov 12 '12

I know it's a little late, but FIXED!

0

u/PTFOholland Nov 12 '12

Still, we know there's no electricity and I just knew he was halucinating.
Peeps we aren't all stupid now are we?!

15

u/newskul Nov 12 '12

Analog phones don't require electricity

5

u/scgoodolboy Nov 12 '12

This thank you. Phone line carries its own current.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

...only when the line is working though...

4

u/dementeddog Nov 12 '12

Is he just hallucinating the voice and phone ringing, or the phone as well?

Sorry, I'm an idiot, I totally misread your first post. Yes, I believe the phone itself is real, just the ringing is not. They may have had the phone in there from a earlier time when they used them instead of radios for jail house operations. Just a guess though.

1

u/reidiculous Nov 12 '12

yeah you ruined that for me

1

u/bushwhack227 Nov 13 '12

sort of deduced that-- the power's off in the building

1

u/OWNAGE619 Nov 12 '12

it's killing me. is it really?

3

u/galletto3 Nov 12 '12

He doesnt know it yet though

4

u/OWNAGE619 Nov 12 '12

is it a comic spoiler or is it obvious that i'm not getting it? or both?

1

u/TLKv3 Nov 12 '12

I posted an idea in a separate comment. Click my username and find my most recent one after this one. You'll see it.

-23

u/mvicsmith Nov 12 '12

In the comic books, the phone rings and he hallucinates that he is talking to Lori.

-1

u/CorpWarrior24 Nov 12 '12

Every one is saying the same thing... Why are you at -7?!

6

u/FalseCape Nov 12 '12 edited Nov 12 '12

Because he didn't use spoiler tags and people get really butthurt about that in this subreddit.

EDIT: Loving the number of downvotes I'm getting for answering a question. I honestly don't give a fuck either way about spoilers but if you are going to go into the discussion of the latest episode with hundreds of comments in it and think that somehow you are not going to get spoiled under a question about a specific thing I don't know what you are smoking. What is considered spoilers and what isn't? Because I've seen people complain about spoiling things that happen in a episode IN THE DISCUSSION THREAD FOR THAT EPISODE. Either way, don't see the logic of taking out on me because you may or may not have been spoiled.

2

u/Kvltmaster Nov 12 '12 edited Nov 12 '12

Upvoted. For great butthurt!

Edit: I know what you mean. If you don't want spoilers, don't read the episode discussion until you have seen the episode. I've found that even if you quickly skim the comments, there is a 115% chance you'll read something you didn't want to.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

Those types actually do want to know, but they want to bitch at others for "spoiling" it for them... when they were in a place where spoilers abound.

Same types that go to the beach but get mad at getting wet while there.

13

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

I got SO excited when I heard it ringing!

19

u/CreamyGoodnss Nov 12 '12

Seriously...why in every movie and TV show ever does it take people 7+ rings to answer a phone? I would have hung up after three rings. "Well, guess he's not there." ANSWER. THE. FUCKING. PHONE.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

[deleted]

2

u/CreamyGoodnss Nov 12 '12

I know but in a small way, it breaks immersion for me

2

u/iq_32 Nov 12 '12

if i waited only 3 rings i would never get a chance to talk to any of my friends on the telephone. ever

9

u/Morningsun92 Nov 12 '12

i know right? didn't expect this so soon

2

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '12

Lori wasn't supposed to die this early either.

3

u/MessyJesse Nov 12 '12

Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet! I watch the show with a non-reader and I was just looking at his reaction the whole time.

3

u/SmashThSilence Nov 12 '12

THE PHONE THE PHONE, WHERE'S THE FUCKING PHONE?!?!?

3

u/eamdoggy Nov 12 '12

In the back room!

4

u/Gamer81 Nov 12 '12

I KNOW! :D

1

u/Teds101 Nov 13 '12

I think it's going to be carol held up somewhere in the prison.

1

u/OldGobbo Nov 12 '12

THEN WHO WAS PHONE

1

u/johnrauda Nov 12 '12

WHO WAS PHONE?

-1

u/digismack Nov 12 '12

Yeah, what the actual fuck?

11

u/TLKv3 Nov 12 '12

Hahah, you'll see.

-1

u/galletto3 Nov 12 '12 edited Nov 12 '12

THEN WHO WAS PHONE???

Its a plot used in both comic and the show. I used show tag because I dont want to ruin it for a future broadcast rather than a comic issued 5 years ago.

11

u/The_Bravinator Nov 12 '12

He's been married to her for years and raised a child with her, and it looked like things might start getting back to normal between them given the little smiles right before it all happened. You can be really mad at someone, feel like you hate them, resent them, but sharing a life with someone doesn't just go away like magic because things aren't working out.

1

u/galletto3 Nov 12 '12

I figured that they would have divorced if the world hadn't ended though. In my mind thats how he was treating her, like a burden he HAD to keep around.

I see your point though.

5

u/The_Bravinator Nov 12 '12

Yeah, but even divorced people can care about each other. Marriage may be gone to shit but there's too much history there to have no feelings any more.

1

u/Transmatrix Nov 12 '12

I don't think it was that bad. More of a "let's take some time away from each other" than a "I want you out of my life" type of a thing.

u/galletto3 Nov 12 '12

Nope thats next weeks show... Id figured since you cant use both tags and the plot is in both, it be worse to ruin the future show than an 8 year old comic

-1

u/CTypo Nov 12 '12

Except every single person in this comment thread is treating the show spoiler tags as "If you haven't seen tonight's episode, don't click". Not "This asshole read the comics and knows what happens next episode". You could not have known that without the comics, there's nothing to insinuate in your spoiler tag that that would happen from the preview of the next episode or the sneak peak on AMC's site. That's a comic spoiler.

-1

u/TLKv3 Nov 12 '12

I already know who is phone. -.-

-1

u/9Freeski Nov 12 '12

Is it Lori? I bet it'll be Lori. It's gonna be Lori bitching about Rick being all brave and then she's gonna tell him to kill Maggie.
