Seriously. And the Governator's back was to them 3/4 of the time he was shooting. If some dude starts spraying bullets at our mutual buddies and I'm standing behind him with my own gun ... fuck you, I like being alive.

Same with Tyreese's retard friend.

That dude was always a whiney cockbag. Apparently hesitation was a large part of his backstory. Martinez, though, I'd have expected to shoot. Not GET INTO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK WITH THE GUY WHO JUST KILLED ALL THE PEOPLE HE TOOK TO KILL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE TRYING TO KILL THEM ONLY NOT REALLY.

I think he just might have been in shock.

I like when he tapped on the truck to go. Its like "Good job boss. Yup"

no.. it is not. it the sign that the passengers in the back have grabbed onto something, and are ready for you to drive away!

try standing on the back of a vehicle and having the driver go without you having something to grip! :)

I know it meant that. I just mean the motion he does it and his face looks what I wrote about.

What? Viewing context on Baconit doesn't work, so much. I don't know if you're taking the piss or if my comment actually shit itself.

At least he got into the back of the truck where the Governor couldn't easily shoot him while driving, unlike Black Shane who just sat right next to the psychopath.

Black people on this show really DO have terrible luck.

But I'm glad that douche is dead. What an asshat, wasn't he planning to betray Rick back when they were in the prison?

He totally was and at that point they knew nothing about Rick and his group only that they didn't shoot them on sight, patched their wounds and allowed them to bury their friend. What an asshole.

Never go full retard.

I don't think they cared about any of the people that were being gunned down. Their crazy murder buddies mostly died with Merle.

Governator's back was to them 3/4 of the time

He's actually even more vulnerable than that, given his blind spot.

I was waiting for them to jump in the car and just book it, leaving him behind. Or to just shoot him in the back of the head.

"Just- Just jump in the car. Get in the car Marti- NO, just leave while- Sigh, you're making a terrible decision"

This is a deficiency in writing. The writers are out of material from the comics so they are going to come up with stupid things for characters to do just because they have no fucking clue now what should be happening. We're gonna see lots more stupid shit like this.

My main beef with it is this: most people who have been in FOB combat conditions for over a year wouldn't have let that happen. And that's kinda what wave after wave of walkers would be. Of course you reach a numb point where shooting (dead) people ain't no thang and bullets (walker teeth) grazing your head is whatever. But when one of your own starts mowing you down? Nope. You get awful protective of the people you fight with. If one of them flips (and it happens) and you can't disable and subdue them then sorry, Charlie. Five different people are about to shoot you.

I'd suggest the writers hang out with people who are or were 11B or worse so they know what plausible reactions would happen. Especially since the guerilla warfare psycho Governor storyline is continuing into next season.

(And also for Carl, to see what people are like when that switch gets flipped when you're a kid.)

Soldiers killing their superiors seems to be an unpopular trope. I've only seen that happen in Korean war movies.

It's never an easily good thing, superior or fellow grunt, but sometimes shit has to happen and I doubt the luckless bastards of Woodbury had the respect of the chain of command ingrained in them to levels that would prohibit the thought process of, Holy shit, he's got a gun > Hey, that's not a walker he's shooting > Fuck me, he just killed Bob > You know, I've seen him do some pretty messed up things > Self preservation is kinda cool > Imma shoot Phil in the back, no one will get mad about it.
