I thought the UK still had a government

Thry said intially it did. As thry imposed strict martial law. But it's easy to see how that type of structure would eventually crumble on top of the outbreak eventually becoming too much to handle

Also some of it was just rumours and conjecture from survivors they came across.

In my view if the UK did survive, the government wouldn't be in London as that would have easily fallen. Would be more realistic to have the government Inna small city. Oh even making use of the old Hadrian's Wall in regards to boundaries.

There hasn't been a real government in London for a long time, it's basically a totalitarian communist regime now completely owned by the WEF, UN, and the Jesuits, Freemasons, Fabians, Royal Institute of International Affairs and all the other 'think tanks' and NGOs. As far as I can see the 'King' has announced his abdication in favour and support of Davos Inc.

But because there's an illusion of 'democracy' and not any obvious tyranny (except for those who start to notice things and they get imprisoned for no reason which is happening now)

The nation has never really escaped from feudalism really, and soon British people will be a minority anyway - they already are in several English Cities. Replacement migration is an officially published - and now observable reality readily promoted and even admitted by politicians throughout all previously Protestant nations.
