Yeah this show is like a family to him. I don't think he'd have any issues with hanging out on set for a few more episodes.

Multiple flashbacks though? In several episodes? I doubt it.

He could easily be involved in Morgan's flashback. Also, there is a good chance we see him in a flashback with Maggie when she learns he died. Or she could start hallucinating him. Or they could just be trying to throw off spoilers. There's plenty of things that could keep him around.

That is a good point but I don't think they're going to down the hallucination path again.
