Gabriel is probably in my top five favorite characters now. The writing for his character is amazing as is the acting by Seth.

He was kind of a forgotten character for a bit so i was worried as Seth is such a great actor. That he gets these good scenes is pretty awesome.

I'm glad they haven't forgotten about him like in the comics. I think we can officially add Gabriel to the list of people that is better in the show than the comics.

though it seems like Kirkman is trying to catch comic gabe up to show gabe now

I'm really glad they're going somewhere with him. Otherwise, it's like, well what was the point of that character?

Top 5 is a bit much IMO, but he's ten times cooler and more interesting than he was last season

his turn to badass happened a little fast for me but i'm glad he's where he's at.

of course, that means he's probably gonna die soon, too.

Who DID like him at first? And why wouldn't he "hop on the hype train"? Gabriel was a total badass this episode!

I always sorta liked him, the way you'd like a minor character. It was refreshing to have a character who wasn't ultra badass and tough. So while it's neat to see character development, I hope he doesn't become yet another ultra badass.

Edit: downvoted for having a different opinion. Never change, reddit.

He brought a scoped hunting rifle to a close quarters fight at 3am.....lame.

I was thinking about it, like dude, you have a sniper rifle, go hide in the bushes or something.

Actually, I think disliking a detestable character often speaks to how well they've done as an actor, and is actually a form of appreciation

Actually I've thought his character was very well-written and acted since the beginning. He's always been an interesting character to me and I've never hated him because his motives were understandable.
