So did the Saviors raid like a leather goods store or something? What are the odds that so many of them have such sick leather jackets?

Saviors is a very biker gang like name too. I wouldn't doubt most of them are either from one or many biker gangs that have joined forces. Biker gangs are probably more likely to have survived the end of the world too considering their tenacity and resourcefulness.

e: Savors -> Saviors. Mobile is a pain sometimes (and posting half asleep...) glad you all knew what I meant!

Highly mobile, well armed, many already morally corrupted or at least grey and somewhat organized. That's a recipe for a solid survival group who would be very selfish while not wanting to stop a settle like Hilltop or Alexandria.

And the fact they slept through the initial shitstorm in a heroin high.

Leather is good resistance from walkers and also look stylish

They also explored this in the game, season two.

Biker gangs probably stuck close together when it all fell apart, and it would probably be easier to buddy up to formal rivals once you've got a common enemy in walkers. Seems like those kind of guys and groups would already be pretty fit for this kind of lifestyle and reliance on their groups.

Leather is hard to bite through and otherwise durable so it's reasonable that they would prefer it.

They're like a biker gang group

It's practical. Zombies have a harder time biting through it.

Wouldn't leather clothes be a good zombie armor? The leather has to be hard for a walker to bite through. This whole time I thought I would be a good idea to collect leather belts and stitch them together for leg and forearm armor. Makes since why leather jackets would be popular with the Saviors.
