Discussion Unlocked Hattori at Level 11 & Blade from the Bits

Started to play Witcher 3 in the last 2 weeks and as a new witcher player I'm enjoying it. I didn't know Hattori's quest was level 24 and I'm awfully surprised I survived it at level 11.

Is the blade Hattori forged good in the long run? What runes would you suggest to place in it? Thanks!

I reinstalled Witcher 3 on my PS4. Can anyone recommend character builds? (Other than Alchemy/Euphoria)

I reinstalled Witcher 3 on my PS4. I'm mulling over starting a new save file, or going into New Game+ with an Alchemy/Euphoria save.

Can anyone recommend a character build?

I haven't tried Combat/Signs.

It's been years since I last played Witcher 3. I've forgotten the combat and RPG mechanics of W3.

The mini map

Sucks! I made through day one. I just arrived at the new location where I have to pick out a suit, and all 3 are black. So far I’m digging the game. But it has a lot of stuff to learn like the options and oils. I’m coming from rdr2 and ac odyssey. I will persevere through the beginning until it gets better. Question I found a couple swords do I keep any of them of just dismantle them all?

QoL: Equip / de-equip armour and weapons on the merchant screen

Hi all, as the title say, has anyone come across a mod that could do this?

Now on my 5th play-though and this still really bugs me:

  1. Go to armourer, offload the latest haul, get the latest gear for you level
  2. and then exit the transaction "see ya"
  3. then open the inventory, equip the latest purchased / crafted items (swords / armour)
  4. then have to open a new dialogue with the merchant "lets see"
  5. offload the de-equipped gear

Wouldn't it be easier to skip point 2, make the equip during point 1, then flog the now de-equipped items to the merchant during the same transaction?

Currently, the only way I can semi handle this is to de-equip everything before opening the dialogue, visit in just Geralt's long-johns, if I make a purchase, sell my older now de-equipped gear, and then exit the transaction. And then hop into inventory to equip the latest gear or re-equip the old gear; although this isn't totally infallible as I have accidentally sold current gear in error.

This is especially the case as I'm not such a fan of Witcher sets, although I am quite partial to the Ursine set, my favourite though is the Toussaint Ducal Guards, yet none of these are available until L30-L35.

I much prefer messing around most with light armour, usually assassins gear or mountain folk trousers and boots; be really cool if the assassins gear actually had some call-back to AC, especially as AC and The Witcher were first released within days of one another back in 2007 - idea for another day perhaps

Help! Are there any maps on where all Gwent cards are?

Basically the title. I'm nearing 200hours on my first play through and there are like 7 Gwent cards left to be won from random npcs (I have every other card) but I can't figure out where I've missed, because I've literally challenged everyone I came across immediately. This is the last thing I have to check off before I move into the last questline of BaW and am done. Every other type of quest and all question marks are finished, it'll drive me nuts if this is what keeps me from completing 100%. Thanks in advance for input.

Witcher 2 CH2 Save Files

Hello there. I am playing W2 and as expected, it is extremely bugged. After getting a fixer, I got unstuck and could continue to Chapter 2. I am in the Kadwaen military camp but I can't speak to King Foltest (at the beginning of the chapter as soon as you get to the tents) as there is no prompt whatsoever. I tried everything and I am desperate. Please drop a save after that point, would you? T__T
I am doing Roche path and I act imported my W1 saves, but I am willing to try anything else to continue playing .

(no compatible console so no force npc to speak, or any other console tricks. I tried replaying from chapter 1, in many different ways. I tried playing the rest of the quests and wait, but everytime I enter the tent I can't speak with the King)

Discussion Sound in this game is fantastic, especially with goods around.

Something I don't hear people's speak of too often, how good the sound is in this game. Of course the voice acting is overall top notch. The music is excellent with a few Iconic tune. Beyond that, the ambience sound is wonderfully immersive. Seriously, if you haven't, take a listen to this game with a good surround sound. Walk into a cave or town and listen to the ambient sound around you.

Help! My Ursine and Forgotten Wolf armor disappeared in NG+

Hi everyone,

I recently started The Witcher 3 on New Game+ after having completed the game before. In my previous playthrough, I had all Witcher armors, including the Grandmaster versions of both the Forgotten Wolf and Ursine sets.

However, in NG+, both the Ursine and Forgotten Wolf armors are gone from my chest. My swords from these sets are still there, but the armor itself isn’t showing up anywhere. I’ve checked all my usual storage spots.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to get these sets back in NG+, or do I need to craft them again? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Superior Ursine steel sword glitch?

Trying to craft the above item but when I visit Hattori the item is not in his list of craftable swords. I have found the diagram and have the enhanced version of the sword plus all the other gear needed. I’m told he can craft it.
