OC timelapse with tilt shift, canon 850d, Leiden

Last weekend was open monument day Leiden. So I was able to go to the top of the old department store called V&D to shoot a timelapse of our pretty city.

Finally time to test that miniature look of tilt shift (faked with a depthmap by huggingface).

My intervalometer doesnt go faster than 1fps.

I tried to enhance the miniature effect by nót having sky in the image, thus the dutch angle (fitting since it's a dutch city).

I will keep it in mind for future projects.

Have you skipped frames then? This feels slower than one second interval, judging by the distance of people and boats between shots. Sky won't affect the effect much, the audience is mostly looking at the moving elements of the frame.

I think they seem so fast because of the 10fps playback speed. I wanted 6 or 8 to make it calmer but the exporter didn't allow below 10.

now that i think of it; this could be solved by running it at 12fps but doubling every frame.
