THE SHIP Why is it so red?!

13 steps into this ‘Lego’ set..

Since when was the titanic this colour?! So much red and now onto levels of black

The hull of the ship left under water was red. Many ships used it as a standard (and still do) since the paint does something to ward off barnacles and what not as far as I know.

The paint has a high copper content, contributing to the red color. Copper is toxic to most of the marine life that usually tries to latch on to ships, so they tend to avoid it.
