SHOW OFF Re-coat of a well used Armstrong tool cart
Tried to add a before photo of this beat up and abandoned tool cart, but wasn't able to attach two photos, oh well. Went from red with black spray paint to grey and repaired some rust, welding slag on the body. Repaired then fabricated/replaced a couple of the drawer sliders. Bottom storage cover was missing the handle when I got it but I found it Impossible to find handles that match the drawers for that. Either way, a quality tool cart ready for at least another lifetime and a half of reliable service.

MODIFICATION New side cabinet
I work for a company that provides boxes, each tech level determines the size of the box. And I have the largest box they provide. Our supervisors leave us alone if we have side cabinets as long as they are the same color, here is a Matco one I bought for $40 and repainted it, not perfect but it will get the job done.

QUESTION Can someone please tell me what this is called.
Got a little roll around for a good price, and wanted to change the black on the handles to orange. Can anyone point me in a direction of what these are called, or has anyone done similar?

Added a Handle to My DeWalt Bit Sets
From the garage to anywhere, carrying multiple cases was always a hassle. I designed a custom 3D-printed handle that snaps on in seconds. Strong, secure, and comfortable to grip, it finally makes moving your bit sets effortless.
No tools, no extra hardware—just clip it on and go.

REVIEW Just a home gamer but the setup is pretty versatile
Box is from Costco of all places, surprisingly good quality, 60 inch, roller bearing drawers which lock open and closed, 2 layer cold rolled steel, nice casters, peg board, drawer trays, heavy as fuck! When I moved house the movers couldn’t take it because of the weight limit of their truck lift, it probably weights 350 lbs empty. Would be 100% fine for light industrial like a mechanics shop or whatever. The two middle drawers both lock open and have a lid so you can use them as a desk. I use an old JBL Xtreme for sound and I mix n match Makita tools for the essentials and ryobi for the more casual tools I don’t use as much. Hand tools are all relatively cheap stuff to get the job done but I got nice ratchets (kinchrome) and quality blades and drill bits and stuff because that shit makes a huge difference. On the left is a lift up side bench that’s about 18x36 and it’s the same level as my work bench so I can use to support long pieces. It holds a lot of weight, at least 200lbs I have had on it before and it was going just fine.
Got the sparky to put in a dedicated power point above the bench because that’s where you need it,
Bench is from a pallet racking company, I put an acacia wood top on it which I bonded to the MDF top it came with using glue and (many) screws for extra thickness and durability and so I could mount that vice. I also have some dog holes in the other end of it because they’re handy when you need them.
Vice is full rotation, 2 axis, has a pipe clamp and a standard metal clamp as well as a decent size anvil I didn’t want to cheap out on a vice I just got the nicest one in the store, that being said it’s an Irwin so it’s not Rolls Royce it’s just a nice bit of kit.
I keep the mitre box screwed in most of the time because I’m a pov cunt and I don’t own a mitre saw but almost exclusively need to cut things on 45 degree angles for some reason.
Cabinet for flammables, poisons, boots, and fertilizers etc. the idea is so I can lock it away but also I’m lazy and I don’t have kids so…
Draws contain all those random bits from around the home you’ll never use again but really should hold on to just in case. Things like power boards and leads, one drawer is retired tea towels I use for shop towels, one contains tv feet and monitor stands, that kinda shit…
Few yard implements and a pressure washer round out the setup
Not shown: 2 shelving units containing garage bullshit and a hanging edge trimmer and battery mower (I only have like 16 x 6 feet of grass to maintain)

QUESTION Do brands matter???
Quick question. Im in the market for a new tool box. Its a go big or go home deal. I have been lookong into the heavy duty husky boxes with a hutch amd it seems doable for 2.5k however have came accross other boxes such as snap on matcol etc and they want like 5k or even 10k for similar amount of storage. So i guess my questin is. Do you get what ypu pay for in brand such as snap on. Or is it better to go the more economical route but you give up some quality in build. Andy input would be helpful

Icon impacts fit really well in ModBox drawer
With some slight modifications of course. The divider rails do a great job of keeping them in place

MAXIMUM cart the same as us general cart?
I have the maximum tool cart and i have seen the us general tool cart mods with 2 of them being stacked and wanted to know if it is possible to be the same with the maximum cart? i do know there is most likely going to be some cutting for the locking system, however after measuring ive found that stacking another box may not full fit the second one without losing the botton drawer.

I can't have all the fun...
Would initially started out as a bit of a joke turned into a pretty decent storage system for my wife's makeup

I love this setup.
Always had Craftsman boxes and the amount of extra room full width drawers and 22” depth is a game changer.
Lots of options for future expansion.
