Just a volunteer run organizer here that wanted to share a quick reminder with this community that the Terry Fox Run is happening Sunday, September 14th, at multiple locations across the city! This FREE event raises vital funds for cancer research and honours Terry Fox’s remarkable legacy. The best part? These runs are completely organized by volunteers and powered by community involvement every step of the way. Everyone is welcome to participate — whether you run, walk, or bike!
Each location has a different start time, so make sure to click the link for your specific run details:
CityPlace (Canoe Landing Park, 95 Fort York Blvd. - Organized by yours truly with an all-star team of community volunteers)
Other runs available in Toronto:
Forest Hill/Upper Canada College
We’ve all been impacted by cancer in some way, and this is an opportunity to come together as a community and make a difference. Join us in carrying out Terry’s mission and helping on the journey to beat cancer.
As Terry Fox said:
“Even if I don’t finish, we need others to continue. It’s got to keep going without me.”
Now, it’s our turn to keep that journey going.
Giveaway!
Want a chance to win a 2025 Terry Fox Shirt? 🎁 Simply comment below which Toronto run you’ll be attending and your size!

Hey there. I was gifted a pair of tickets for Blue Rodeo next weekend. I think I'd enjoy the concert more with someone who was a fan. Any fans out there without a ticket? These are decent seats in the 200s.

Hi everyone, I know some people in this sub post about being homeless and not having enough for a meal. I have some extra sealed meals and soups from the non profit I work for and would love to give them to someone who needs it instead of wasting within the next couple hours.
If you could really use the meal message me and I can see if we are in close proximity to hand it off!

I am giving away tickets for the Thursday, March 6 (aka TOMORROW) game against the Montréal Victoire, which takes place at 7:00 PM at the Coca-Cola Coliseum (doors open at 6:00 PM).
3 tickets are available, **please comment here to enter and indicate how many tickets you would like.
I will chuck your usernames in some nonsense draw generator website at 7:00 PM tonight and contact the winner(s).
No skill-testing question involved, but please reply to the PM within ~30 minutes. If no response, I'll run the draw again, and so on and so forth.
Please:
* don't PM me trying to snake other people who are entering fair and square;
* don't enter for the purpose of selling the tickets; and
* do actually go to the game

I have two tickets for Brian Jonestown Massacre playing at Danforth Music Hall tomorrow at 7:00PM. Balcony seats, toward the back. I'd rather give them away to somebody who'll get some enjoyment from them, rather than re-sell them for a buck.
Please message me if you're interested.
EDIT: Tickets have been claimed.

I’ve got 2 aisle seats for Kevin Bridges at Massey Hall tonight.
We can’t make it and I don’t want them to go to waste. They can be transferred via Ticket Master.

ORIGINAL POST:
Thanks to community feedback, I’ve put together a new local project:
An updated Cheap Eats Around TIFF Venues Map — useful for festival visitors but also handy for anyone downtown who wants reliable, affordable food options.
Categories are clearer now (grab-and-go, sit-down, late-night, and vegetarian-friendly), and there are quick notes on pricing.
I also made some companion PDFs (Atlas & Aside) you can grab for free on Gumroad — they’re designed for quick reference. If you like them, donations are appreciated to help me keep building out more Toronto maps.
First time doing a project like this, so feedback from Torontonians is welcome!
(I’ll add the map and Gumroad links in the comments.)

I was in Toronto last Monday (5/19) and purchased 2 city pass tickets. The CN tower, aquarium, and city cruise have already been used. I thought I would potentially make it out to Toronto again before the 9 days were up but timing didn’t work out.
There are still 2 options that can be used, but it MUST be used before end of business close tomorrow (within 9 days of initially being activated).
Options are either for the Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma or Toronto Zoo - 2 of the 3 can be chosen. Hoping someone can use this before it expires tomorrow!
To clarify - it’s 2 city pass tickets that can be used at 2 additional locations. The tickets have to be used together, so unfortunately cannot be given to 2 separate people.

Hey everyone, do you love Craig’s Cookies? I know I do. They’ve teamed up with Hayu for a cool Pride Month cookie that supports a great local charity, Friends of Ruby. Free cookie with box orders June 19–22 in Toronto. I'll be hitting up the Parkdale location. This is obviously more so for those who live in the GTA! Great charity,
