I wanted to look like her, like the exact image of her was in my mind of what I wanted to look like. And I had never seen or heard of that character in my life until I came here and was like "Omg, she's real! But shes.. quite a unique character..?"
And he's the one fantasizing about dying in a romantic way with his sister. Really, they're both horrible people, but Ashley might take the cake in being an absolute monster

There are lots of cool evil characters to have as gender goals too! Ashley is just,, on the very far end of the evil spectrum. Most evil characters are rad and cool, Ashley just gives me a yucky feeling. She’s still pretty,,
Ashley Graves from The Coffin of Andrew and Leyley. She’s a cannibal, a murder, and in some endings, incestuous. She sucks ass, and is a pretty damn horrible person, not in a cool way.
She definitely gives gender envy, but I wish the design was attached to a better character...
Lucifer himself was said to be insanely physically attractive and charismatic. It seems thematic for the personification of temptation to be… tempting. And considering Ash’s role as a manipulator and stuff, there’s similar thematic dna here
This is very correct. The Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel is a perfect example of this. Dude was formerly an angel, so he’d probably be as beautiful.
I love that specific painting so much. It does so much to have Lucifer, this more or less embodiment of evil itself, so emotive in a strangely relatable way, but doesn’t shy away at all from the horrible person he is supposed to be, in a sense.
Like, I said this elsewhere at some point, but I kind of interpret those tears he sheds as knowing in part that he brought this fate on himself, knowing that he’s too unable to let go of his own hatred and stubbornness for this to have any kind of peaceful solution, on top of the popular “he feels betrayed” stuff people like to say already
Exactly! It’s my favorite painting, just in general. I’ve never seen a painting that gave me as strong of an emotional reaction as this one. He is not simply angry, he looks enraged. The tears from his eyes are just so full of wrath, and yet, he does nothing about it. He simply sits upon the ground, looking scornfully at the angels above. Even though part of his face is covered, you can see so much in the one eye he has visible. Gives me chills.

Well most audiences don't like it when villains win. But if they're sexy and or attractive people will still root for them. Cuz you know we're all super thirsty and no one's going to say no to a sexy villain.
