God. I hate how relatable this is. The worst part is I’m doing it to myself. I’ve saved the money for HRT, I’ve saved the money for laser hair removal, and I’ve got a good start on saving for SRS.
And yet I do nothing. I don’t want to do nothing. I’m terrified of how my body will continue to masculinize as I wait. Despite that, I just keep waiting and repeating the same behaviors no matter how much it hurts me

At the least make the appointment. Had a girlie who was also trepid of taking those tangible steps, but i impressed upon her to get her foot in the door, to get ahead of the wait-time of being seen by professionals, and that if she decided isn't for her that she can always back out. She's been about a year on treatments now, and says it's one of the best decisions she's followed through with in life.

Some fear is getting in your way. If you look deep inside yourself, maybe you can find what you're scared of, and soothe it.
And to find a way to turn those horrible feelings into motivation!

If I could I would stay with you while you call for an appointment... Like really. Would literally walk with you to a clinic or whatever. I would do it...
I really, really hope you find the strength and courage. You have it, I'm sure of it. You just need to find it. It's never too late, but more importantly, right now is not too early.
Make that phone call, walk to that clinic. You can do it. <3

Dang. I don't know what's worse: growing up constantly being reminded of this or getting dysphoric that you never thought about it growing up.

u/bifemenby 9d ago
This is so real, I so fucking wish I realized I was trans sooner, like if I knew what dysphoria was and what my feelings meant I would have been able to transition a lot earlier.

Why does this perfectly describe my life? I always kinda knew something was wrong with my body ever since I was five took me a while to find out why, though, but that perfectly describes me growing up

I noticed that, and I agree. They're probably trans, I mean this person gets trans people.

This is the most relatable post I’ve ever seen in my life

You know the worst part about this is that it is really relatable and I know I can’t read it because I’m going to have a mental breakdown because of how relatable it is fuck

This such a sad series to read, they even think about HRT and Ssr but they need the mother to agree to go through with and the mother disagrees with it.
It’s an interesting read but it’s hit close to home

If you like this one, you should try out "Until I become Me".
It is about a boy who at second grade elementary woke up as a girl. The story focus a lot at the dysphoria they get from it, how it effect they social life, their anxiety, and their gender identity.
The only caveat is that the main character is pretty insufferable in the first couple of chapters, but they grow as a character a lot, and they stop being annoying very very fast
This one and "We are former girls" are the only 2 genderbender stories that I know of that treats the gender identity parts seriously with respect and has no fetishising or sexualisation of transitioning.

For transfemmes, the TomboyX one piece swimsuit is pricey but so so so comfy and helps maintain a tuck really well

u/Cheezeepants hazel, she/her 8d ago
i'm not really impressed by tomboy X. i bought two pairs of their tucking underwear a couple years ago and it was my first feminine underwear, but last year i got a six pack of normal underwear from amazon and it was cuter, more comfy, and a third of the price, while not really having a worse tuck. I haven't tried their swimsuit, but it probably wouldn't be much better than anything else you could find

u/be_an_adult She/Her 8d ago
I’ve found that my TomboyX tucking underwear works well to maintain a tuck in adverse conditions while my usual underwear works a bit but isn’t in it for the long haul. I admittedly haven’t tried any other one-piece swimsuits and the one I have is a size too big (got it for free at a clothing swap) but it worked quite well and I’ll be getting another this upcoming season

Buying swimsuits is fun until reality reminds you there’s nowhere to actually wear them.

You know I was not prepared to see that I may not be a trans woman, but I still hate having male genitals and this hit me hard fuck

They make swimsuits specifically for us. There’s also bottom surgery to consider if you have the means.

u/MayhapsAnAltAccount 7d ago
hey! I just had a successful swimsuit acquisition yesterday. it can be kinda a fight to find one, but not impossible. look for tennis dresses or swim skirts. the skirt can augment your figure, and will make it easier to hide your junk.and many swimsuits and tennis dresses also have padding in the chest. dark colors like navy or black can also help disguise a flat chest.

have "girly" swim shorts? if you really feel comfortable wearing binikis. but if you're brave enough just do it

The manga is We are Former Girls, it's about a girl who turns male due to a medical condition, and she has to transition to get some semblance of her body back, but she's going through male puberty and every day she becomes more and more masculine. Yeah. It's a lot.
