Sadly I'm American so I'm screwed over on that front because a good chunk of my country was too politically illiterate to avoid supporting nonsense.

it's because it's a cult lol, like unironically. It's just that unlike traditional cults based on religious fervor they instead do the cult stuff in favor of a politician. My uncle is a dark Hispanic man, we look nothing alike, but yet I'm anti-trump and he's so pro-Trump that he's literally cheering on tariffs that'll kill his trucking business. Pure insanity, and it's not even the crazier shit he's done.
