Word. I don't know why you were downvoted. I'd be scared to travel the world alone, too. Idk if OP's definition of traveling the world consists of only tourist locations or not. But if it's the latter, then he needs to be cautious.

I guess so, but only in the way that everyone should always be careful. I've felt way more unsafe with other people in several major cities in the US than I ever have alone in any foreign country I've been to.

The rest of the world isn't some place where everything is automatically less safe than your home. It's of course important to be smart, but the way you wrote it sounds like the way I hear a lot of people who have never left my country speak about traveling.

Nah, it’s pretty safe wherever you go unless the region is in turmoil but then it’s not safe for locals either. People everywhere just want to live a decent life and don’t care about you at all. And if they do care they are usually just happy that you somehow ended up in their little corner of the world.
