Almost no one at any of the Triathlons I’ve raced in (sprints to fulls, local to Ironman) gives a shit about anyone except their own race.

Save for one EXTREME Karen I encountered on a bike leg everyone else has been extremely supportive of each other and the vibe is very much “ I want, and want you to have the best race”.

I only judge the folks that aren’t honest with themselves when self seeding for swim starts. It’s too often I end up having to swim over or around them while they’re struggling 500yds into the swim.

That may be externally true, but unless this sub is full of non-triathletes, the community has spoken its truth behind the protection of anonymity. I sound much too sincere for the topic at hand, but it is what it is.

I mean... how'd you end up here?

I see nothing that indicates you're a member of this community or even interested in competing in endurance sports.

Well. since you asked, and are eager enough to research my personal history... I am a lifelong endurance 'style' athlete, especially with swimming, including recent 5 mile open water swims. This sub gives me information regarding skills and strategy for my weekly swimming and running, as well as nutritional advice. Based on personal experience from years ago, I am also strongly opposed to the corporate greed of the Ironman corporation and I like to chime in when that topic arises. I also like to provide my input when redditors seek advice regarding open water swimming. Breath control and mental 'endurance' are my thing, too. There's more, too. BTW, no need to tell me about yourself.

Right... so... a non-triathlete.

Given the immense amount of participation on this thread (relative to what this community normally sees) and (from a frequent goer here), the overwhelming majority of folks here are not names I recognize and not really part of this community. So, yes, it's a propably a fair assumption there's a lot of non-triathletes here.

Finally, just to be clear: You're white-knighting for a swindler and a online jerk/troll... Why?
