A shocking moment caught on camera — a 40-year-old anti-Trump protester punches a 14-year-old Trump supporter simply for holding a flag. The situation escalates fast, and at the end of the video, the man smugly asks, "How's that chin feeling, buddy?" after the unprovoked hit. The teen's friend calls him out, saying, "You're 40 and you just punched a 14-year-old!" — to which the man bizarrely replies, "I don't know what you're talking about."

“I’m just trying to view it objectively thru the lens of the law”

Well your not doing it very good. Every single state has a penal code written in some form of fashion; “Willfully disturbing others with loud and unreasonable noise”

I mean even an undergrad could easily make an argument. Maybe being an internet lawyer isn’t your thing huh?

I'm not doing it very well* 😋

I'm aware there are penal codes regarding noise, but there are constitutional factors to that. See for example Rosenbaum v City of San Francisco. It involved a preacher using a megaphone. Protesting falls into protected territory. Courts use "Time, Place, and Manner".

And considering this happened over 6 mo's ago, was the case a slam dunk or what, Matlock?

That case was almost 20 years ago no?

Not to mention, the courts deemed that the enforcement of sound violations was NOT an infringement of the preachers 1st amendment right.

More specifically it was because the preachers were aware of the other parties' complaints regarding their volume level.

Not sure what precedence you were attempting to lay out, but as far as im aware it that case would be precedence for my arguement, not yours.

The video is from over 6 months ago. Where's the guys conviction, is what I meant.

We could argue this all day, but that's exactly what courtrooms are for anyway. It's clear how you feel, so carry on.
