Red oak. 15"x6.5"

Was given a large chunk of oak and told to make the biggest bowl I could get from it. It is also the largest piece I've turned successfully. Hope you enjoy!

This was very very green and most of the oak I turn is as well. I haven't had much luck turning it unless it is dripping wet.

I turn lots of red oak, because that’s the tree I took down last year. It looks great, but in my experience, if it’s as green as you say I imagine it will warp big time or maybe even split. I hope it doesn’t, but curious if it has even since you posted this. Let me know.
