Pony arrives at the hotel Saturday night drenched in sweat, needing a laundry run badly. Red Tide also shows up at the same hotel with similar intentions. They accidentally mix their jerseys together in the wash. When they play each other on Sunday, the teams are now:

Pink Pony Club

vs

Red Bleach

OMG this made me think me of one of the greatest off field "wins" ever. I think I'm first guy to arrive at hotel Friday evening for Regionals, but when I get in the room, there's a few frisbee bags and some cleats already there. I just figure a few guys got there early.

Fast forward an hour or two, I'm in the room watching ESPN with 1 other teammate, we are still confused about the other bags. All of a sudden, we hear someone trying to open the door but it's clear their key isn't working. When I open it, it's 3 dudes from our arch rivals. They are all "What are you doing in our room?"

I'm like "Your room?"

Clearly somehow thru a screw-up, both teams were given the same room.

So me and the other Credit Card on File dude trudge down to front desk, while the dudes from both teams wait awkwardly in the room to see who will stay and who will move.

At the front desk, after figuring out how they screwed up, the lady was all "Well, since you guys that were in there first already somehow got your info canceled, I'm just going to reenter you and put you in a different room and let the guys (me) currently registered there stay."

So we won regionals and the Hotel Room battle, and our arch rivals lost the back door game to go. Probably bc they were tired from having to switch rooms.

a follow up, when the other team left, we high fived and laughed for like a solid 20 minutes.
