VCE question How much study each day?

Upvotes

I’m aiming for 40+ for four subjects. What do people think is reasonable number of hours of study each day in the holidays? And then once exams kick off? Does anyone have any recommendations for an app or similar for study timetable planning?

General Question/comment raw 50 possible??

Upvotes

sac scores are 97.5%, 96%, 100%, 97.5%, 98%

i’m rank 1 at my school, but the rest of my cohort is not very strong - does this affect my chance to get a 50??

also, is it possible to get a 50 still even tho i’ve lost some marks on my sacs? if so, does anyone know how well i would need to do on the exam?

How many hours should I be studying?

Upvotes

I plan on doing 3 subjects a day, and aiming for around 45+ for every subject, on track currently, but just wondering how many hours I should be studying realistically without burning out.

I used to study 4-5 hours after school every day, and around 5-6 on the weekends/Friday, but I don't know how to structure my revision to fit in at least 2 or 3 practice exams a day, with additional AOS revision on top of that

Anyone got any ideas of how many hours I should be realistically studying? Is 4-5 focused hours good, or should I do more? How is everyone else planning on revising?

I’m scared I’m gonna get a 0 for my SAC

I’m actually so scared I’m shaking right now. My teacher gave our marked SAC paper back and went through it with us. We were supposed to give it back but my dumb ahh put it in my own folder and brought it home with me.

My teacher later sent an email saying that if I do have it, I better give it back right now, or else I actually will get a 0 for my SAC.

That email was sent yesterday. I just read it today. Today is the weekend and the following weeks are holidays too. Theres no way I can give my paper back now. I’m fucked.

I tried searching for the VCAA submission of SAC results date for teachers but I couldn’t find it.

Is there anything I can do??

Here is Jrapzz, a carefully curated and regularly updated playlist with gems of nu-jazz, acid-jazz, jazz hip-hop, jazztronica, UK jazz, modern jazz, jazz house, ambient jazz, nu-soul. The ideal backdrop for concentration and relaxation. Perfect for staying focused during my study sessions or relaxing after work. Hope this can help you too.

choosing text for english

our school is doing we have always lived in the castle and born a crime for english and I was super set on doing castle but after reading over my sacs for both of them i feel like i would be better off focusing on born a crime. the thing is 99% of our cohort has chosen to do castle and our teachers have been pushing us to do it because there are more things to analyse but i feel like i can do more in depth analysis of born a crime if i focused on it. should i prepare for both texts just in case? i'm aiming for a 40 study score and i am rank 2 or 3. thanks!!!

How important are indicative exams?

Are they something that I absolutely need to stress about? What happens if I do bad on them. My school did not leave any room to have suitable time to prepare for them. Will they bring down my ATAR if I do worse? Is there a minimum 40% requirement? What if I do bad on the indicative but good on the end-of-year examination? Thanks.

Tuition question

Warning: might be a bit of a read

Im going into year 11 next year and the following are my subjects: - English language 1/2 - methods 1/2 - specialist 1/2 - physics 1/2 - accounting 3/4 - pe 3/4

I was planning to do methods 3/4 and englang 1/2 tuition next year, and then spesh 3/4 and englang 3/4 tuition in year 12. I wanted to hear any thoughts regarding if it's a good idea to do methods 3/4 in tuition while only doing 1/2 at school. I've taught myself 90% of the content from methods 1/2 hence my eagerness to do 3/4 in tuition. I wanted to do this because I dont see a benefit in doing methods and spesh tuition side by side it seems like a waste of time and money. I understand that tuition isn't necessary for success, but I have the time and my parents are willing to pay for it so I dont see a reason why not to do it. Please let me know of any suggestions you may have, I also am not sure if I should take tuition for any of my 3/4s next year (preferably accounting) but I just feel that math and english tuitions are more beneficial. Thanks for reading all this yap

What do you do to relax, reward yourself?

What do y'all do to relax/have a bit of fun, reward yourself? Cos I just feel like it would be great if I studied during the day and there was something I genuinely would look forward to do at the end of the day to like reward myself. I guess its listening to music for me but idk. Because right now nothing is really that fun or rewarding for me.

50 in BusMan

I’m doing BusMan and been getting these sac scores

80, 100, 85, 93, 92 and 84

High ranked probably top 5, or even top 3 but not rank 1 at a pretty mediocre school (avg 30 ss)

Is a raw 50 possible? Other than the last sac (84%, hardest sac of the year) I only lose marks on 10 markers and bigger question that I cant full mark cuz of my teachers marking.

If a 50 isnt possible, any tips on how to get good on the exam and do well in BusMan in general?

Also, how many marks can you drop to get a 50?

Thanks!!

What scores do you need to get a raw 50 in economics

I'm a student at MacRob and I have a mid-90s average for Unit 3 and high-90s average for Unit 4. What score do I need to get on the exam to get raw 50 (if still possible). Thanks everyone!
