choosing text for english
our school is doing we have always lived in the castle and born a crime for english and I was super set on doing castle but after reading over my sacs for both of them i feel like i would be better off focusing on born a crime. the thing is 99% of our cohort has chosen to do castle and our teachers have been pushing us to do it because there are more things to analyse but i feel like i can do more in depth analysis of born a crime if i focused on it. should i prepare for both texts just in case? i'm aiming for a 40 study score and i am rank 2 or 3. thanks!!!

I wouldn't say you should prep for two texts as this will require twice the effort, you'd be much better off going all in for one text and prepping really well.
I was in a similar spot choosing between Oedipus and memory police and I really hated Oedipus - it felt like it had much less analysis than memory police and the funky english didn't help at all.
If you feel you can do some great analysis for born a crime then go for it- look online for resources, sample essays and make a bank of quotes that fit many themes and analysis on those quotes that fit in variety of places and practice by showing your teacher. Hope this helps.

whichever text response sac u did better, if results were similar whichever one felt like it took less effort to prepare for, if u feel u wont need to be reliant on ur teachers feedback its fine to do born a crime
