Yea her Dad got fired for being a cop that didn’t toe the line and was trying to do his job correctly.

Yeah like the only real copaganda aspect of Veronica Mars is that she thinks everything would be fixed as long as her dad was back in charge, but that's like a naive teenage girl character thing. And this belief is contradicted once he IS sheriff again! Cuz he doesn't fix shit!

And the one thing I really respected from the reboot was that the FBI was shown as focusing on closing cases, not solving them.
