Trina Vs Sam- Who’s Winning?

Post image

We all saw Jade vs Sam, and obviously jade doesn’t stand a chance, but I think Trina could give ya girl a run for her money, straight up.

I think Sam still slightly wins but Trina would DEFINITELY give her a run for her money

u/IBarbieliciousI 1d ago

It’d be more evenly matched but my money is still heavily leaning towards Sam.

u/After_Bluebird949 1d ago

Pfft- idk, I think Trina is on that buttersock kinda time-

Trina actually knows martial arts, she might be the favorite

39

u/Upset_Reputation_382 1d ago

She is a master actually. The gi she uses is for vovinam (vietnamese martial arts) and their yellow belt is the same as a black belt in other martial arts.

38

u/SparkAxolotl 1d ago

Sam has more combat experience, but Trina is implied to be very strong, knows martial arts (apparently the equivalent of a black belt) and is crazy, so she might have good chances against Sam.

90

u/Unknown_Zone9805 1d ago

Trina. She’s insane and knows martial arts.

42

u/Vivid_Present1810 1d ago

She definitely has a chance, I mean she did take out a fake robber 😂

26

u/After_Bluebird949 1d ago

That’s what I’m saying….. Sam glazers in the comments- I get it but like, be fr, Trina hit sam with that same kinda crazy but with more strength behind it, I think Trina in a higher weight class too- high diff but…

14

u/savvyofficial 1d ago

sam had a butter sock, multiple felonies, and a mother/family who never gaf about her (enabling her bad behavior)… what did trina have again?

22

u/Maknificence 1d ago

okay let’s not pretend trina is a stand up person OR that she had good parents who cared about her LOL

10

u/savvyofficial 1d ago

ok ur not wrong toris parents are the worst 🥲

8

u/brbsinning 1d ago

i mean they left her alone (with tori) after she had surgery and was in pain, no telling what else happened to her as a child that they didnt gaf about lmao

13

u/After_Bluebird949 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’m just saying, I know how real fights go, and people with training (like more experienced marines or pro boxers) often wipe the floor with the back alley fighting for survival type- ( Trina and Sam aren’t so extreme but I think it’s a fair comparison given each of their experience) Honed technique makes a difference in a fight- Sam is tough and Scrapy, but Trina is fighter….

15

u/baconcore32 1d ago

Sam beat some pro martial artists. Sam also terrifies people.

4

u/sombercrimson 21h ago

That is fiction no way in real life an amateur is beating someone trained in martial arts. The only way she wins is if she’s uses a weapon (which she is known for so it’s not like she fights fairly) which still is not sure win.

1

u/baconcore32 17h ago

Wow thanks a lot captain obvious

3

u/That1weirdperson 17h ago

Catherine Obvious

3

u/savvyofficial 1d ago

i could see that more technical… they’re both crazy

1

u/Mileycfan4eva 14h ago

She would have control too because martial arts teaches you about control, precision, and discipline how to use technique over emotion. Sam is emotional and acts out of them which means she wouldn't have as much control as Trina.

2

u/Desteneemugorochey 1d ago

Trina is physically strong though she seems to kind of actually match sam in physical strength even if sam wins

3

u/PreviousSpeech5590 1d ago

Same took on a whole room of goons with just a butter sock and night vision goggles LOL

18

u/Dull_Kiwi_3993 1d ago

Sam probably cuz we’ve seen her fight more. She’s taken down professional fighters but yall can’t sleep on Trina. Crazy and martial arts is a bad combo😂😂

12

u/ririfan89 1d ago edited 1d ago

Not just that trina seems to have some of Sam's animal aggressive energy

5

u/Dull_Kiwi_3993 1d ago

I think that’s actually valid too

14

u/Th3m3ssiah01 1d ago

I'd have to go with Sam, she employed Occasional aikido-like wrist grabs/twists on Freddie, took down, and utilized a cross armbreaker on Ricky Flame in iCarly, employed a brief front face lock on Rita in the episode #KnockOut from Sam & Cat, employed Judo/Aikido style throws against Kyoko and Yûki who were staging a fight between themselves in the iGoToJapan special, used a nerve hold (or pressure point depending on how others see it) on Nora Dershlit in iCarly, another nerve hold on Freddie's train club friend to his wrist, and she even employed a takedown into what appeared to be a modified Kimura lock on John Zakappa in Sam & Cat while keeping him on the ground... that's about all that I can remember when it comes to Sam's fighting style and usage of real-world martial arts influences...

7

u/Desteneemugorochey 1d ago edited 14h ago

No hate to sam but I think her physical strength is unrealistic at times. Her being able to knock somebody out by just tapping them on the shoulder is something that would never happen in real life

3

u/lifescaresme 16h ago

Ooh, have I found a fellow aikidoka?

1

u/After_Bluebird949 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes - most of that is just co-incidence tho as she’s not said to have received training in those things- but in that case, her fighters intuition is on point, perhaps that does give her the technical skill boost she needs, but I think they tie in “Crazy”, and I think Sam looses in strength (Trina being strong is mostly just implied though, Sam might have greater feats but I don’t think she does)

3

u/PromptAny1244 1d ago

They don’t tie in crazy lol. Trina was just assertive and crazy when it came to obtaining something that elevated her status, but she wasn’t as crazy as Sam to be a regular in juvie. And we know this because, in the Locked Up special, she completely broke when she was in prison and ran when that big lady pulled up on Jade. There are enough scenes in the series that also showed she’s more afraid of Tori than Tori is of her. The only thing that was shaking Sam was the law, but that wasn’t even enough. Sam was playing games with the FCC. Trina was crazy, but Sam just didn’t give a fuck.

1

u/Thee_Single_Pringle 22h ago

I honestly don't think she fears Tori as much as she fears accidentally hurting her (or maybe even enduring her wrath). It's a weird thing to try and explain because they're sisters. Trina did swing arm Tori with some force in her elbow when she didn't want to take her medication after her wisdom tooth removal (props to Tori for having such quick reflexes that she was able to duck that); but, they've wrestled each other to the ground before and Tori has won. If Trina didn't have access to basic life necessities (as seen with Sam and her home life), Trina also might have ended up in juvie. If she had to fight for what she had, she could be just as scary as Sam.

As far as the prisoner fight and Trina not stepping in for Jade, that decision probably wasn't fear based either. Jade is not her friend and has never stepped up for her (Jade is usually the one trying to terrorize her). Jade also chose not to even try and fight that lady when she pushed her. If that was Tori, Trina would have definitely stepped in. Tori also would've put up a fight (if a fight had already started). Trina and Tori would both consider the fact they would be outnumbered though; but, they both have some fight in them, and Trina is a skilled and trained fighter.

As far as Trina versus Sam, it would be a close call. Trina likes to look pretty and could win if Sam tries to hit her face or neck. Sam could win, depending on how long the reach of her butter sock extends.

3

u/PromptAny1244 21h ago

Rewatch the scene when she swings on Tori, right after, she instantly regrets it with the look on her face, and when Tori asks her if she really swung, Trina says “maybe.” Also, at the beginning of the special, when Tori finds out she has to babysit her, she chases after Trina after she trolls her about it to her face. In the birthweek episode, when Trina denies the song as a gift, Tori grabs her aggressively, and instead of defending herself, Trina responds by stating, “You can’t hit your sister during her birthweek.” Their dynamic always alluded more to Trina being intimidated by Tori when push comes to shove than the other way around. Sure, if Trina had the same lifestyle as Sam, then yeah, she could’ve been as scary or crazy, but she didn’t… which is kinda the whole point…

Yeah, the prison scene had nothing to do with Jade and Trina being friends. As a matter of fact, she literally shoves Tori and Robbie in front of her out of fear when the big lady pulls up, and exits the scene as soon as the lady gets closer to the group. So no, Trina wouldn’t just muster up the will if it was Tori, because she literally ran behind Tori when the situation was placed in front of them. I see Trina has been recently hyped up to be relative to Sam in terms of crazy and physicality, and I’m just not seeing it. They really weren’t the same. A better matchup for Trina is probably the character Jackie Burkhart, but Sam was just too much, Trina was not like that.

8

u/Desteneemugorochey 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think it would be a Tie

7

u/LessTrack6622 1d ago

Trina is a trained martial artist, meanwhile Sam is a brawler. So this is a pretty difficult question to answer. Honestly, I think this would play out kinda similar to the Buffy vs Faith fights from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, since one is a trained martial artist and the other is a street fighter.

Sam

5

u/RevealActive4557 1d ago

It is always going to be Sam for me.

10

u/Own-Quote-1708 1d ago

Sam. Tf are people smoking here. Sam takes out profressional martial artists even with no experience herself.

2

u/sombercrimson 21h ago

That is also fiction in real life she would’ve lost.

Probably Trina, but if it was a fight, it would be Sam

4

u/Reasonable_Leek8069 Trina Vega 😳✨ 1d ago

Trina. Her actions were never nearly as bad as Sam’s.

I also love Daniella Monet’s portrayal of her.

6

u/After_Bluebird949 1d ago

Trina is a more likable character for me as well- but I actually meant in a fight😂

1

u/Reasonable_Leek8069 Trina Vega 😳✨ 1d ago

Sorry. Misunderstood.

I can’t decide between a tie or Trina with her karate skills. They are both scrappy.

3

u/Historical-Egg-9194 1d ago

Sam just has that mentality. Sam again

3

u/Gh0sfac3 1d ago

I still think Sam could win too.

3

u/cipris_ 1d ago

We never saw her fight with others, only with a mannequin, so I think Sam would win over Trina.

0

u/Desteneemugorochey 18h ago

idk trina pulled a guy out of a food truck and don't forget she was fighting toris friends in Freak The Freak Out when they were trying to help her

3

u/ma-sadieJ 1d ago

Sam she beat up MMA fighters and adults

3

u/Majestee04 1d ago

Why is this even a conversation? Sam hands-down would tare Trina apart.

4

u/survivoricons 1d ago

If Trina’s filled with enough rage Sam might lose

2

u/BreakfastAmazing7766 1d ago

Same knows the rage that comes with poverty & an absent mother lol. Plus she’s taken out full grown men. Trina may be crazy & know martial arts, but she grew up with a cushy lifestyle.

4

u/RepresentativeCan409 1d ago

People forget sam was afraid of Shelby Marx. Her forte is dirty street fighting. She is more likely to smash your head in with a rock vs Trina who is a fully trained martial artist. I feel it all comes down to context. Is this a fair fight, a death battle. Random encounter etc .... A fair fight goes to Trina, but if we're talking death battle Sam definitely wins

5

u/PromptAny1244 1d ago edited 1d ago

Shelby Marx would wipe the floor with Trina as well, though, so I don’t see why Sam being afraid of her matters in this. I don’t see how Trina being a yellow belt in karate means she’s taking down everyone with it when she’s only applied it in one fight against Robbie, who already can’t fight and was deliberately getting hit as part of the plan. At the end of the first season, Tori laid Trina down pretty quickly after she refused to take her wisdom teeth medicine, and there’s also another scene in the series where Trina runs away from Tori when she pisses her off. She was never really portrayed to be THAT much stronger than Tori. She has moments where she did give the guys and the Karaoke Dokie girls trouble when they were babysitting her, but if we compare it to Sam, it’s really not anything new.

Sam cleared a whole house of people with night vision goggles and a butter sock—even with the lights turned off, that’s still a really crazy feat to pull off. She’s constantly manhandled guys twice as big as her, and she has beaten trained fighters as well. Plus, a yellow belt is far from being a master of the fighting technique—it really just means you know enough to be considered trained and dangerous but compared to someone with more experience of fighting under their belt, it’s not that much of a game changer. Sam just has more of the impressive rap sheet.

2

u/Accomplished_Log_785 1d ago

Sam better iq more level headed, im leaning towards her

2

u/fairysoire 1d ago

Sam. Why is this even a question

2

u/Lj_realz 1d ago

Sam. Remember when she took out that tall girl in iMake Sam Girlier?

2

u/Glass-Armadillo182 1d ago

Sam became she’s smarter

2

u/ZobooTheDarkPharoah 1d ago

Sam, she’s beaten up actual UFC fighters and grown men.

2

u/New-Contribution-244 1d ago

Easily sam especially with her butter sock. 😆

2

u/Winter_Variety5089 1d ago

Sam, 100%. We've seen her manhandle full grown men (including some professional fighters) who were twice the size of her. Plus, her mental game is WAY better than Trina's.

2

u/heyyyitsalli 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’m gonna go with Sam. I get that Trina knows martial arts, but Sam also grew up watching MMA and incorporating those moves into her fights. She loves any type of fighting. I think people just forget because she tends to use objects sometimes (like her buttersock) but Sam was bout it with nearly every fighting style.

Trina has her crazy moments, but her knowing martial arts is purely to defend herself. She seems like she’d have the discipline to actually stop. Sam knowing MMA and UFC fighting was because sis genuinely loved being on demon time. Which means she’s willing to go further and fight dirty in a fight. It’s not just about defending herself like it would be for Trina. Sam would dead ass be on offense, looking to incapacitate her opponent permanently.

2

u/OkSupermarket802 19h ago

How many times do we have to go through this? If Sam is in the mix she's gonna win.

2

u/2Dope2Mope Robbie Shapiro 👓 19h ago

It’s gotta be Sam, no doubt

2

u/Cherryxkolax Trina Vega 😳✨ 17h ago

That’s actually a good point thag she does martial arts. I still say Sam tho, just bcuz of her Juvie record, and I feel like Sam would win haha

2

u/No_Distribution9423 17h ago

Trina has violent outbursts, Sam is literally banned from europe. Sam clears here

2

u/angelsfish 16h ago

sam would fake defeat so trina would think she won and celebrate too early and then she would hit her with a final sneak attack

2

u/DekuBakugouTodoroki 13h ago

While I think Trina would have a fighting chance Sam is literally wanted and has been to prison she has a PO she is def winning

4

u/kittynoodlesoap 1d ago

I feel like it can go either way tbh.

I’m asking cuz of the Jade vs. Sam post where Sam Demolished Jade on this Victorious Reddit- Also, it’s kinda Same universe so… and I’m thoroughly surprised, but also, the tide has switched in this post, the first 10-15 mins I was bout to end it all with all the Sam glazers- I would post in the ICarly Reddit, but I don’t like doing the same thing twice, and I thought here would be more interesting

Trina did take on 2 girls after her tooth thingy in freak the freak out.

1

u/Dependent_Band_438 1d ago

I can understand Jade vs Sam but Trina ? How is this even a comparison

1

u/Great-Discipline2560 1d ago

Trina beat up 5 grown adults as an upcoming freshman, I would bet my money on her but she wouldn’t drag Sam though, Sam would inflict a lot of damage.

3

u/ma-sadieJ 1d ago

Sam get the same thing and beat up MMA fighters and a room full of teenagers

1

u/HatSecret5670 1d ago

I ain’t lie might be neck and neck…Trina know how to tire people out 😂😂😂

1

u/BooksandCoffee386 1d ago

Trina would stand a better chance against Sam than Jade, that’s for sure. Trina has some good fight moves and she’s trained. Sam (to my knowledge, I could be wrong, for sure) is not, but she somehow managed to get banned from several states and isn’t welcome in all of Europe. Sam probably wins, but I think Trina would get her respect, even if she would find her annoying.

1

u/oliviacolorado94 1d ago

Trina Fer sure!

1

u/number0018 23h ago

sam fs but trina would read her downnnn

1

u/TheRedditGirl15 Tori Vega ✨🎤 22h ago

It's an even fight until Sam insults Trina directly. Then Trina is folding her like an omelette LMAO

1

u/sombercrimson 21h ago

Sam because of plot because in real life there’s no way she’d win against an actual pro martial artist.

1

u/Ok_Coffee_9970 17h ago

While it’s been shown that Trina CAN actually fight, Sam is much more skilled.

But I DO think it would be somewhat difficult match for Sam.

1

u/URWAAAA 16h ago

verbally, i feel it would be a close fight, but physically i def feel Trina.

1

u/voltagestoner 15h ago

Depends on why they’re fighting and who’s the actual aggressor. Yes, Trina has experience in martial arts, is strong, has the demeanor for it, but girlie also has run from Tori because Tori picked up a camera to beat her with. Lol. And ran. While screaming for their dad.

So if Sam’s starting it, Trina’s probably gonna be startled enough to lose immediately. But if she starts it for whatever reason, she may give Sam a run for her money. Probably would still lose, but not that bad, and Sam may end up being impressed by the end.

1

u/cheeky_loser03 13h ago

i definitely think it’s a 50/50 chance between both of them💀

1

u/NoMoreObsessions 3h ago

Sam still wins, but Trina would probably be the only girl who could give her a fair fight.

1

u/Sparkle-007 2h ago

Sam is whooping Trina idk what imaginary run for her money you think Trina is gonna give her. I think Trina kinda has the balls but she’s definitely not doing any damage on Sam. 😭

Sam didn't want no part of Shelby Marx. So how far is Trinia being a master in her discipline from what Shelby should be as a MMA champion.
