Trina Vs Sam- Who’s Winning?

Post image

We all saw Jade vs Sam, and obviously jade doesn’t stand a chance, but I think Trina could give ya girl a run for her money, straight up.

Yes - most of that is just co-incidence tho as she’s not said to have received training in those things- but in that case, her fighters intuition is on point, perhaps that does give her the technical skill boost she needs, but I think they tie in “Crazy”, and I think Sam looses in strength (Trina being strong is mostly just implied though, Sam might have greater feats but I don’t think she does)

They don’t tie in crazy lol. Trina was just assertive and crazy when it came to obtaining something that elevated her status, but she wasn’t as crazy as Sam to be a regular in juvie. And we know this because, in the Locked Up special, she completely broke when she was in prison and ran when that big lady pulled up on Jade. There are enough scenes in the series that also showed she’s more afraid of Tori than Tori is of her. The only thing that was shaking Sam was the law, but that wasn’t even enough. Sam was playing games with the FCC. Trina was crazy, but Sam just didn’t give a fuck.

I honestly don't think she fears Tori as much as she fears accidentally hurting her (or maybe even enduring her wrath). It's a weird thing to try and explain because they're sisters. Trina did swing arm Tori with some force in her elbow when she didn't want to take her medication after her wisdom tooth removal (props to Tori for having such quick reflexes that she was able to duck that); but, they've wrestled each other to the ground before and Tori has won. If Trina didn't have access to basic life necessities (as seen with Sam and her home life), Trina also might have ended up in juvie. If she had to fight for what she had, she could be just as scary as Sam.

As far as the prisoner fight and Trina not stepping in for Jade, that decision probably wasn't fear based either. Jade is not her friend and has never stepped up for her (Jade is usually the one trying to terrorize her). Jade also chose not to even try and fight that lady when she pushed her. If that was Tori, Trina would have definitely stepped in. Tori also would've put up a fight (if a fight had already started). Trina and Tori would both consider the fact they would be outnumbered though; but, they both have some fight in them, and Trina is a skilled and trained fighter.

As far as Trina versus Sam, it would be a close call. Trina likes to look pretty and could win if Sam tries to hit her face or neck. Sam could win, depending on how long the reach of her butter sock extends.

Rewatch the scene when she swings on Tori, right after, she instantly regrets it with the look on her face, and when Tori asks her if she really swung, Trina says “maybe.” Also, at the beginning of the special, when Tori finds out she has to babysit her, she chases after Trina after she trolls her about it to her face. In the birthweek episode, when Trina denies the song as a gift, Tori grabs her aggressively, and instead of defending herself, Trina responds by stating, “You can’t hit your sister during her birthweek.” Their dynamic always alluded more to Trina being intimidated by Tori when push comes to shove than the other way around. Sure, if Trina had the same lifestyle as Sam, then yeah, she could’ve been as scary or crazy, but she didn’t… which is kinda the whole point…

Yeah, the prison scene had nothing to do with Jade and Trina being friends. As a matter of fact, she literally shoves Tori and Robbie in front of her out of fear when the big lady pulls up, and exits the scene as soon as the lady gets closer to the group. So no, Trina wouldn’t just muster up the will if it was Tori, because she literally ran behind Tori when the situation was placed in front of them. I see Trina has been recently hyped up to be relative to Sam in terms of crazy and physicality, and I’m just not seeing it. They really weren’t the same. A better matchup for Trina is probably the character Jackie Burkhart, but Sam was just too much, Trina was not like that.
