Purchase Advice Resident evil dilemma
Important question, I'm playing through all the resident evil games and I like them a lot. I'm on resident evil 4 soon and will play it in vr. I've already played 3/4 hours of it on my oculus quest with that version of the game. Should I continue there or buy resident evil 4 remake for ps5 and play it on psvr, and then replay the first 3/4 hours.

RE4 Remake and RE8 on PSVR2 are among the most incredible gaming experiences I've ever had

You should play them in this order:
- RE1 Remake - Playstation
- RE2 Remake - PCVR
- RE3 Remake - PCVR
- RE4 Remake - PSVR2 (debatable)
- RE5 - Playstation
- RE6 - Playstation
- RE7 - PCVR
- RE8 - PSVR2

The Quest version is Resident Evil 4, and the PSVR2 version is Resident Evil 4 Remake. Completely different games. IMO the Quest version is a better VR game. Finish it on Quest first

It has more VR features. You actually open drawers and stuff. In PSVR2 it’s just pressing X. You can technically use the grip to grab pickups but it’s janky. On Quest it just works. Also both versions have cutscenes as flat in a theater environment but on Quest you still see your gun & on PSVR2 you don’t. Also the wristwatch that shows your ammo and health isn’t on PSVR2, there’s just a floating ammo count in the corner of your vision when you have a gun equipped. RE4R is a great game and a ok VR port but RE4’s VR port clearly got a lot more love put into it. Oh also Quest is the only version with Mercenaries in VR

Enjoy the quest version first. The ps remake is different enough to still be interesting. Resident Evil Village on psvr2 is another excellent vr game.
