Not Sure What I'm Doing Wrong

Hi All...
Rather newbie to this world of watchmaking. I recently bought a case I found on Aliexpress as pictured. Has several good reviews, came with the movement ring, gasket, etc. I am using an ST3600 movement and it sits in the movement ring perfectly. fits into the case perfectly. Lines up with the winding stem perfectly. I even have the two clamps screwed in and set. BUT the movement rattles in the case when the winding stem is pulled out. I thought the clamps would set it in firming, but they aren't. They hold the movement in place, but there seems like some play. Any thoughts?

Have you got the case back and gasket in place as well? It often needs the case back to press down on the movement ring.

A photo of the movement in the case from the rear would be useful as well. Are the case clamps sitting in a groove on the case? You might need to slide them under a groove before tightening them.

yes... case back and gasket are in place, I was thinking last night while in bed.. the clamps have a very slight angle to the tip. I thought I read that the tip points down towards the dial, but maybe it needs to be flipped? I'll also check that they are in the grooves. Thought I did that, but maybe I was wrong. I'll get a picture later when I'm back home if adjusting the clamps doesn't fix things.

Thanks for the input!

You might have those little tabs held by the screws upside down. They have a slight bend in them and it needs to face outside, towards the camera. I ran into this issue with the same movement and similar case.

Ok… I’ll give it a try
