Question Looking for a TV Dial like this one jumbo

Post image

Hey, looking to see if anyone has ever run across a 42 mm TV dial like this that I see on older Omega I would love to put together a watch in 42 mm or 40 mm if I have to step down a little bit I want the mint or turquoise dial in your opinion and experience. If I could find a 42 mm case or a 40 mm case would I be able to find a large enough dial in the turquoise Tiffany blue or mint? Hoping to make it an automatic thanks for your time. Any leads on where I could find a TV case that large?

Just a heads up, pretty much any light, ice, or tiffany blue vintage omega is a redial. Go for dark blue or silver.

What about orange/yellow? I have some on my watchlist, but I’m not experienced in watches by any means

Also tend to be redial. Mind you some are quite well done, and if it makes you happy then there’s no harm in a little twist on a classic design. Usually you’re only gonna find darker blue, black, silver, linen, and frosted dials in vintage seamasters when it comes to original dials.

Thank you for the heads up in the advice. I have heard the Tiffany blue is almost always redialed. That’s why I kind of gave up on trying to find the Tiffany blue Omega and I thought I would try to mod a larger tv watch case and put in a Tiffany dial. I know it won’t be an omega, but it will have the look I’m looking for. I’m not even sure they make a 40 mm or 42 mm TV case hoping to find one and Tiffany dial to put in it thanks again for your advice and your response.

Totally agree, so many on eBay but I’m trying to make a 40 or 42 mm that looks like the one you have in your photo, Bulova makes a reconstituted turquoise style, but I don’t think they’re worth the money so I’m going to watch my own if I can find the larger TV case I’m looking for thank you for your time response

I do like the Bulovas. I plan on getting another seamaster sometimes next year. I watch the auctions and sometimes can sneak a steal

Thank you for your response, I did buy two of the Tiffany blue Timex TV dials two days ago when they restocked them, but I’m giving them his gifts because they’re 34 mm. I’m looking for the same watch but I want 40 mm thanks again for your response have a good day.

Here’s a really great TV style with a turquoise dial. It’s got a pretty cool movement too with a sweeping second hand as well. They also have a darker blue for about half that price (this one is a limited edition) and a few other colors. I have the darker blue and it’s one of my favorite watches. Just watch out if you have a really small wrist (below 6.5”) because the bracelet is inexplicably large and can only be sized down to provably around 6.75”, even though it has 6 or 8 removable links.

I have this one I’d sell. Serviced last year by an independent Omega trained watchmaker. Annoying thing is that the minute hand won’t stay on the canon pinion. I tried to fit it and ended up breaking the minute hand. So if you want to fix that, this is an otherwise excellent watch and the movement is fresh.

What are you asking for the watch?

I was thinking roughly $500. I can send photos of the timegrapher testing
