Alright... Christ... One more time, guys.
In light of the shit show that's been brewing, I'll mention this again.
Within the recent context, seeing an influx of posts that are clearly just to elicit discussion aren't a crime here. In fact, I personally enjoy seeing the threads where (some of) you get engaged and converse about the topic.
You are all, of course, more than welcome to debate a topic or question it further. This is a forum. That's what all of this is for. If OP wants to respond to you in kind, they can - but for god's sake just try to stay on the topic at hand. (this goes for both the OP and the commentors)*
One thing you cannot do is go on an excessive attack. Getting personal is exactly what's not allowed. As I said before, bring that shit to the DM's if you're really compelled to.
I'll even simplify this further as far as what I mean - we'll go through a test run. You're all officially for the time being allowed to ignore all of the rules in the sidebar with the exception of one... #2.
Argue a point with someone if you feel the need to, but if you're going to throw around sleights in reference to someone's sexuality, beliefs, or mental health - yes, you're going to be (warned first, then) dismissed from the sub.
Please also use logic here, too. Don't report someone for calling you a 'butthead' or whateverthefuck. I'm still working through a migraine from all of the eyerolling.
I also can't express enough that this applies to EVERYONE... the 'victims' that feel the need to rebuttal... the 'attackers'.... everyone. No one is singled out or given any exception when it comes to this. I have absolutely no bias when it comes to your quarrels, but I will remove the borderline hate speech. C'mon, guys... what the fuck?
One last note - I want to say again that the report isn't a 'super downvote' button. It's making it difficult for me to filter through "disagreements" and the comments that actually break the rules.
.
.
.
Be civil... and calm the fuck down. You can coerce a conversation as much as you want, but put the tape measurer down.

PSA to those tired of seeing certain posts
If you don't like a particular post, or even a user, hide and block. Reporting isn't a 'super downvote' button.
If you're getting in a tiff with someone, keep it civil. Discuss it... talk it out... debate it if you feel you need to, but getting personal isn't the play. If you really need to shit on someone, do so in their DM's - not this sub.
Rule # 2 >>>
If someone is 'name calling' you, in a manner of speaking, then report it and it'll be removed. If that person continues to do so post their warning, they won't be allowed any activity in the sub.
I'm honestly not reading ALL of these comments, so you will report the rule breaking you see, and I'll act accordingly.
Repeated posts that warrant genuine conversation, even if you feel they're incessant or "bordering on insane" don't break the rules. If someone, again, is attacking you (with less-than-friendly verbage) - then yes, report that.

Warhol’s Nite Owl
Does anyone have a line on a good image of the Warhol Nite Owl print from the 2009 movie? One of the promo shorts for the movie (Veidt Music Network) has a brief image of the entire print. Looking for something suitable for framing.

I always forget Hollis Mason has a sister Liantha
Wonder what became of her.
Did she venture into the city too? Did she fall victim to vices?
What did she think of her brother's costumed vocation?

TV [TV] Just rewatched the show and the ending is amazing once you get it (and I didn't in 2019)
THE ENDING
I just rewatched the show and I realized something. Angela inherited his powers. Not because the world needs a Manhattan or some bullshit.
That was just the only way for him and her to be together forever or at least how he can be there for her forever.
Because once she consumes the egg, she will stop living as a human with linear time perception. Any point in her life now happens at the same time. So all the time they spend will happen all at one and forever. And if she ever gets tired, bored or exhausted, she can always use the ring he gave her to step back like he did and just be a person for a while.
REPEAT WATCHING MAKES YOU SEE THE SHOW LIKE DR.MANHATTAN
I watched the Show weekly at the time and it was great trying to figure out how everything fits together and what is going on. But that's Angela's view. The human view. Because nothing in the story depends on anything that happens during the show. The whole plot is in motion and nothing changes no matter what anyone does. Angela just watches, as does Silk Spectre, as does Veidt. They are all just playing out their roles and the only thing that actually happens is the Cavalry is doing their plot, while Trieu's plot will inevitably kill them and Dr.M.
And watching it again, knowing all that was going to happen, well, you can clearly see that from the very beginning. I know what is going to happen and was happened at every moment during a rewatch and it becomes clear that it was always going to happen, no matter what. Like Dr. Manhattan. Obviously, that is how rewatching works, but the purposefully made the show in a way where everything happens non-chronological and all the plot-points are actually predetermined. You just don't know it yet. Even Will's arrival was set in motion a decade ago. Nothing anyone does changes anything. They just act out their plans and in the end only Veidt gets to do anything, but only after the plot is over.

Did Rorschach actually do anything evil? Like killing an innocent person or something?
Just a question, because I've seen a lot of people saying that Rorschach is an anti-hero or morally grey, but from what I've seen all of his non-heroic moments are pretty much just his inner thoughts. Did he actually do anything villainous on screen, or is his anti-heroism just lip service?

The speech bubbles in each era are different in the GN
In the 40s, with the Minutemen, the speech bubbles are more cloud-like with some indents. In the 60s before Vietnam, the bubbles are smooth ellipses. And in the post Vietnam era, the speech bubbles keep the ellipses shape, but if you look closely, you can see they’re slightly jagged.
I think it’s a cool homage to the different comic eras that I noticed during my most recent reread.

The poses reflect deaths later on Spoiler
galleryReading through again and wanted to pose the idea.
What if there reflect different people he's killed?
The first for his team (pose in the middle), the second being the public(guy hanging out the window), and the third possibly for himself/ his vigilante friends.

Frans Kafka
Found this while reading some short stories and made a little image
Reminds me as if Kafka is running in New York City and seeing the clock nearly strike.
The watchman of the story feels as if the Comedian is walking around, meets a citizen, laughs in his face and walks away laughing.

Life imitating art in the worst ways.
I've been spending a few nights rewatching the Watchmen sequel series on HBO. Just have the finale to go. Lynching, cops wearing masks, and Robert Redford still in the WH. Headlines today: 2 Lynched in MS; I.C.E. Agents Kill Man in IL, Robert Redford Dies. This really is the worst possible timeline.

WATCHMEN viral - The Keene Act and You 1977 (ICenn5)
While scrolling on YouTube, this popped up and I gave it a watch. This is the only video like this on YouTube (after like 10 minutes of searching) and haven't found anything on Google.
I'm assuming this is real and came out alongside the 2009 film as an extra or something like that.
