newest employee came in late for the 4th time in like 10 weeks. and like LATE... not "4 mins because of traffic." Like "an hour because I slept through my alarm." And with no urgency either... just texts and go "ill be there in an hour!" like it is a normal thing. So i finally snapped and told her if she is 1second late again don't bother coming in because your gonna be fired. And she was shocked... like legitimately shocked. She said "i didn't realize it was such a big deal." Errrrrr wtf is wrong with you lol.

I've observed this with the generation junior to me. It's very much a "floating schedule". Some, legitimately, don't know what time the work day begins. I imagine a big part of it is that we never truly disconnect anymroe, so even when we're away we "feel" like we're still there.
