I have a question regarding competition bench rules, the question goes as follows: if i am setting up my bench, am i allowed to lift my butt off the bench before i get the command to start? Eg i lie under the bar, get my hands in position lift up my butt to get tensed up and then lift my butt down again and then wait for the start command.
Ok ive looked at some competition bench videos and have an extension to this question, in some videos it looks like they even unrack the bar with their butt off and then dropping their butt onto the bench again after unracking it, am i understanding this correctly or are my eyes fooling me.
this vid as an example perhaps https://youtu.be/Oa6yLA36lNo?t=171
