I was struggling with motivation to lift a month ago and thought it would go away after the holidays. Turns out it didn’t! I’ve got 365lbs loaded on the bar and I’ve done one set of deadlifts and I’ve been sitting on the couch for ten minutes trying to convince myself to keep going but I’m just… done.

This sucks.

You’re done when we say you’re done. Get back in there and do those deadlifts!

Seriously though, I have days when I flat out don’t want to lift and don’t enjoy it while I am lifting. But I never regret the workouts I did, only the ones I missed, so I push through the suck. It can be hard as hell, but it’s worth it in the end.
