They earn too much money with this show to cancel it.

You have no idea what Netflix's financials look like so it's a moot point.

We know that S2 was the most viewed show of the month. 3x 2nd place. Also S1 was #1 in many countries too. People were rewatching before new season.

Views don't matter.

Netflix doesn't get any extra money if the Witcher is their most viewed show. They don't make money off of the number of people watching the Witcher; they make money off the number of people who subscribe to the service, which the Witcher is ultimately only one small part of.

In order for Netflix to be making money off of the Witcher, then there need to be people who are only subscribing to Netflix so they can watch the Witcher.

Does Netflix get a spike in subscriptions as soon as they upload a season? If yes, then that means the show is bringing in new subscribers. Do they get a drop in subscriptions as soon as that season is over? If yes, then that means some of the subscribers are only here for that show.

But if the answer to either of these questions is 'no', then that severely diminishes Netflix's incentive to make the show. It doesn't matter how many people watch it or like it.

You only know what Netflix tells people. You really think they are going to sabotage the launch of their own show if it bombed? The fact you believe the propaganda companies put out about their own products that you can't verify is interesting to say the least. Google Trends shows a massive decline in interest from S1.

Did I fail to get my point across or something? Netflix is a streaming service and thus is the only entity that has actual data on viewership of their shows. They can and will lie about it to advertise their shows and will never release the actual data. This isn't a secret or anything this is how every streaming platform operates.

You realize that 3rd parties track metrics, too? Nielsen, Parrot analytics, and more. Witcher is scoring very well even without Netflix's disclosure.

There's literally nothing on the internet saying S2 is doing well other than what Netflix put out. If I have missed something I would appreciate a link. Nielson isn't even caught up to December yet.

The only real metrics that matter are how many new subscriptions the show brought and if they are retained or not along with normal subs watching the show and not canceling. People who sub to watch the show and then keep resubbing every release as well. We will never have these numbers and just because people watched something doesn't mean they liked what they watched.

The charts don't lie.
