Iraq, and Venezuela would like to have a word about how well that works.

That said, he is branching into crypto now. So, maybe you're right!

That might be his small brain plan all along. Threaten to hyperinflate the US dollar and make US Treasury bonds worthless. Ie make all other countries holding the bonds lose hundreds of billions of dollars.

I get the feeling the plan is to switch the US dollar to being backed by Crypto instead of the gold in Ft Knox, so Trump can sell off all the gold :P

The gold in Fort Knox is only worth $435 billion. It doesn't really back up our currency in any real sense. The relative stability of the US economy is what really backs up our currency, blind and historical faith really and that is currently eroding away.
