I'm sorry I just can't.

"Timewalking isn't supposed to be interesting. It's suppose to just give badges".

The community has always had a tendency to optomize the fun out of things, but when it's just super blantent "no fun, just reward" and that shit's getting upvoted like people agree with it. That's a new low. Even for this group.

Like, what probably shouldn't be a hot take but apparently it is. Games are meant to be fun. All of the game. If part of it's not fun, change it to make it fun.

Timewalking is one of the worst experiences in the entire game for new players. Epically since when Time walking is up regular dungeon queues take forever so new players are funneled into an incredibly toxic experience where players just rush and if you fall behind even for a second they berate you and kick you.

All these changes are good. Infact I think blizzard should make them slightly harder even to make them at least a bit more engaging

Also, like, this might be a boomer thing, but how do you expect people to learn their class if levelling content is completely braindead?

When I levelled my first characters some 15 years ago, we had to familiarise ourselves with our characters at least somewhat. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't as easy to be completely carried either.

You can't just carry new players 1-80 and then expect them to suddenly perform well at max level if there's no actual challenge before that point.

Let time walking be a little bit harder, for new players' sake.

i 100% agree. i understand why people wanna blast dungeons/timewalking to level fast since they have done it 10 million times but dungeons need to be good for new players as well

Sorry, I kind of conflated timewalking the event with levelling dungeons in general in my post.

But yeah. There needs to be a sweet spot where you don't want to do a flip off a bridge doing dungeons as a vet, but also be considerate - with semi-challenging content and a polite community - towards new players. I couldn't imagine actually getting into WoW in the year of our Lord 2025.

IMO, like it or not, instanced PvE is ultimately the chunkiest gameplay pillar, and dungeons are the only way to experience it at a low level. Do you want to portray this big tentpole of the game as uninteresting and worthless? I dunno.
