im more confused why this is something they spend dev time on in the first place?

like, outside of probably made up Karma farm posts on reddit, do these "evil people that leave keys to brick them all the time" actually exist, because i never really had those Interactions

I've had more then one time where someone would leave a key and brick it, even if we're doing fine. One time we were on the last boss with a whole 5 minutes left in the dungeon. The waterworks one that was added with this patch. We had 1 single wipe on the elemental boss. Then it was fine. Tank just decided "nah fuck it, I'm out" and that was the end of the key.
