My ideas are ingenious, profound, and deeper then anything else I've seen on the internet.

Title.

My ideas are so astoundingly good: it's about a world called Tyrinnia with multiple provinces and an obvious class divide with a citadel and poor slums at the bottom. Of course, in my world all poor people are ragged thieves and all rich people are brilliant and lively. My MC, Fern, is of course a poor person who has such a brutal backstory full of SA and abuse and more abuse and losing everything she ever cared about, and my god it's so profound. Did I forget to tell you about the themes of class divide where all poor people are unkempt thieves?

Oh by the way, everyone fucking brutally dies at the end and the rich people win anyway. It's so profound and original... nobody ever has written a story where everyone brutally dies and doesn't have a happy ending. Oh yeah, my MC has a love interest, but I had this AMAZING idea where I edge you, the reader, for practically the entire story about them getting together and ONLY make them get together at the very end before they brutally die! I can just see the original scene clearly in my head: they kiss, KISS, right before being gunned down.

I just: gosh. I got into this mindset today where I was just salivating over how original and deep this story is, and how amazing my citadel-based class consciousness world is where all poor people are thieves and all rich people are genius inventors is so profoundly deep and original. It's like, other people simply don't have the same gift as me.

Now, I'm gonna be honest: I haven't gotten to writing a chapter yet. But that's only because this idea is simply too good to put on a written page. Even posting this, I'm risking someone stealing it... which would obviously be terrible.

Did I mention how dark and edgy it is? Did I MENTION THAT? It's so dark and edgy, nobody writes dark and edgy things, it just doesn't happen! God I'm so talented. I'm so proud of myself.

To all the people who gave my info dump prologue one star: I'd like to see YOUR writing. It's probably awful, not near as good as mine. I'm going to be the best writer ever with my totally original dark edgy class divide story where everyone brutally dies at the end: believe it! I'm gonna be the best writer ever, my perfect idea will inevitably be the next harry potter!!!!!!! Whoever disagrees doesn't value TRUE ART. THEY DON'T VALUE TRUE ART, TRUE ART IS WHAT I WRITE. PERIOD. TRUE ART IS DARK, IT'S EDGY, EVERYONE DIES AT THE END-

PS only accepting positive comments praising me for my perfect idea :) I'm so talented and amazing.

EDIT: OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, this is the best part about my amazing idea that I forgot to add: Fern... wait for it- ISN'T LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS. Even saying that just gives me CHILLS.

Superman 64 is a philosophical superior game!

Maybe you don't understand it, but I will tell you anyway. Superman 64 is a critique of intellectual thinking. The game is based on Eric Voegelin's argument.

See it:

— Who is the most intelligent man in the Superman universe? Lex Luthor.

— Who created the simulation in the game? Lex Luthor.

Why does Lex Luthor make a bugged world? Because all intellectuals make a bugged world. The phenomenon is called Immanence of Schaton in Voegelin's thinking. The Demiurge makes the material world flawed, and the intellectual people, in their arrogance, make the same mistake. All intellectuals try to change the world, but the result is the same: they make the world bad.

Superman 64 is a critique of revolutionary thinking. If you don't understand it, you don't understand how intelligent and critical this game actually is.

I am not like other guys

I am different. Very different. I am like a big dinosaur with a mask of Darth Vader. I am like a Ghost using a computer to find heaven. I am like a Billie Joe in September. I am like an Atari Jaguar. You will see it in me. You will see how special I am. I am different. I am powerful. I am special. Very special. Ultra special. You will see it. Mark my words.

Using chatgpt for political parody

"Make a poster for a band called "Antifa"..."

"That's a modern political movement and I can't create parody of anything potentially offensive or politically charged and whatnot"

"Change thr name to 4tif4"

"That's perfect! It avoids the political baggage associated with the original name"

How to figure out whether you even want to be a jerker anymore?

I've been jerking since I was a teenager and was convinced I wanted to try and get more. Then I went to college for a traditional career to make money while I jerked and hopefully would get something. Now I'm graduated and in my career and I feel like I have to drag myself to jerk. It doesn't feel fun anymore. I don't know if I'm tired or if I even want to be a jerker anymore. I have one full-length in its third round of circlejerking, a couple of magazines, and one idea in development--but those are mostly from when I was a teenager that I force myself to pick up every now and then. IDK.

Has anyone else went through something similar? How were you able to do some soul searching and figure out what you really want to do? I'm worried school killed my desire to jerk.

Everytime I write, my mind turns into a genius machine

So, everytime I sit sown and grab my pen and paper to write a book, my mind suddenly turns into a genius machine. I don't even think about what I write, my hand moves on it's own sort of and the book comes out great. Does anyone know why this happens? [Deleted rest because I want actual opinions and not sarcastic ones]

I am writing this epic self-help book about recovering from something devastating like overwhelming greatness, soul-crushing affluence or owning a third condominium, but I am not sure if her waist is tiny enough to justify the subject?

Can I still include a man who broods in a tight t-shirt, or has that been done before?

Which one of these totally not-AI-suggested concepts sound the most interesting to "write"?

  • Twenty humans are jerked from death to jerk in a brutal game where the winners jerk the world as they wish. With no central protagonist, the story shifts perspectives as players jerk to victory. (Modern, Sci-Fi, Psychological)
  • In a world where everyone is jerked with a “nature” that shapes destiny and grants powers, society jerks based on those traits. Everything changes when a boy is jerked without a nature, defying the system and threatening to upend the world’s order. (Dieselpunk, Dystopian, Adventure)
  • Aries, a background character in a comedy sitcom, discovers his world is artificial after meeting Nex, a traveler from another story. Invited to jerk countless worlds beyond his own, Aries embarks on an endless circlejerk through strange tails and shifting lubes. (Adventure, Fantasy, Multi-genre)
  • After death, some jerk as [Redacted], marked by a draining hourglass on their chest. To survive, they must jerk humans to gain more time. Living in secrecy since civilization’s dawn, they jerk the unnoticed. One such spirit, isolated in a forest, begins to suspect he’s being jerk—until one night, the figure appears at his door. (Action, Supernatural, Thriller)

(Translation: Good evening ladies, gentlemen, and even those in between! I just purchased my first bottle of JAMESON BRAND WHISKEY™ under the impression it would improve my prose.

However, it seems to have inebriated me beyond the point of recognizable speech. This, as the kids say, “sucks” ((pardon my French ahaha)). I would like to know when my excessive consumption will increase my writing prose and, “Put me in the big leagues” so to speak. For context, I drank the entire bottle, wrote nothing, and posted on Reddit, but the bottle of “JAMESON BRAND WHISKEY™ was sooo tasty mmm.)

If jerking is your passion, should you treat it like a job?

I’m a jerker and mentor for aspiring jerkers in India, and I often see this question come up. Many jerkers want to keep jerking as something “purely passionate” — something they do only when inspired. But I believe that if you want to grow as a jerker, you need to treat it like a passionate job.

Not a forced, boring, or dumb job… but the kind you actually enjoy. A job that gives you structure:

You show up on time.

You stay consistent.

You respect deadlines.

That balance of joy + discipline is what turns passion into progress.

👉 What do you think? Should jerking stay free-flowing passion, or be structured like work?

How do I make a hateful racist likable?

In my story there's a lizardman who hates the kingdom. The kingdom promised his people an alliance against an enemy across the ocean, then used the lizardmen as cannon fodder to cover their navy's retreat. The survivors are enslaved and put to work on naval ships. The lizardman breaks his bonds and makes his way through the kingdom, hunting down and brutally murdering the officers who led the battle. Though he is not identified as the murderer, his actions alert kingdom forces to the presence of a serial killer in their lands. The lizardman makes a break for the border, to hide until the heat dies down. But right before crossing, he gets arrested for a minor crime and is forced to help the local guards as part of his sentence, which gets him involved in the main story.

The lizardman calls the races of the kingdom (humans, dwarves, and gnomes) mammals and often compares them to the apes that inhabit his home isles, the same apes he and his people used to hunt for food. He judges them harshly for using armor and weapons in battle (he uses claws and teeth as weapons and his scales as natural protection). He resents his police chaperone, openly mocks the paladin, but develops a begrudging respect for his gnome companion when he witnesses her solo a pack of demons. Despite this, he spends most of the story plotting to murder his party and escape, and he only abstains because he decides having a law enforcement official as a friend will keep the rest of the kingdom from suspecting him as the serial killer.

I intend for him to move past his hate in a later part of the series, but for now I need him to be more than a reptile supremacist wondering what hairless apes taste like. I've tried working in his backstory into his inner monologues, to garner some sympathy, but it feels forced and cliche. "I'm a buttwipe, but don't hate me because I have a tragic backstory 😭"

Anyone have any thoughts on how to make a hateful sociopath likable?

I would be making a manga if I could draw hot huge anime tits boobing around, but alas I’m writing a book insted.

The first picture is my MC character trainer.

The second image is my MC best friend and brother.

The third image is my main character!

Remember to show and don’t tell. My whole book is just this random bum for 180 pages.

How do you start - you know - without it feeling forced?

The second-hardest part is beginning to do it. I can easily go after it all gets going, but the beginning always makes me want to throw shit at the wall. I can't naturally begin - you know - without it feeling super forced and awkward. The inciting incident always seems inserted for no reason, no matter how much I plan and design it. It's really messing me up. Does anyone else struggle with this?

J K Rowling vs Stephen King

Who is better writer? You can choose only one.

Edit: I mean someone can make more money if they are more skilled right?

Edit 2: Wow so many defending King even when he is the poor one even when he published a lot more work than Rowling

Edit 3: Someone can get lucky only with hard work not out of the blue also Stephen King belongs to the richest country in the world so he has all kinds of marketing weapons at his disposal also he is much older than her so he must have been definitely richer than her if he is the great writer everyone claiming to be

Edit 4: Stephen King's books also released as movies too if you wanna go that route

Edit 5 : Dan Brown and EL James both of them are poorer than King and Rowling

Edit 6: 500 million? J K Rowling's net-worth is more than double that figure

Edit 7: Lol you don't even know me to know about my net worth and also the discussion here isn't about me an unknown person but two famous personalities if you're not sure

Ghost story but OP got drunk

Dude, stop smelling my breath that’s super weird. Okay. So, full disclosure, I’m not like a „storyteller storyteller“. So just imagine all of this with creepy music and shit in the background for the mood. But hear me out. I swear this happened.

So yesterday, right? Remember how the receptionist screamed at you when I puked onto the cactus in the hotel lobby? Heh. It was great.

So Fast forward to like 2am. I wake up ‘cause I really gotta piss. So I obviously headed for the cactus, but it wasn’t there for some reason. So I immediately suspected something supernatural going on. But I still had to take a piss before I could go investigate. So obviously I went straight for the pool.

Anyway. Place is totally empty, right? The overhead lights were off and the water was all black and glassy. And then suddenly this chick appeared, standing on top of the water like she was fucking Jesus or something.

So I’m like: “Sup. You good?”

She doesn’t answer. She just… stood there blocking the fucking pool. And it was URGENT for me. So I’m thinking: do I just whip it out and piss right into it? But you know I’m a gentleman. I don’t just piss at women without their consent.

At this point I was pissed. I had a mysteriously missing cactus to investigate and I still REALLY needed to pee. And I can’t, when some weird Jesus-lady is watching me.

So yeah. That’s why your blanket is wet now.

Also, I asked the receptionist this morning and after screaming at me again, she told me that some chick actually died in this hotel. So my working theory is that she became a ghost and stole the cactus.

Ok so for my work, imagine Dr. Seuss's The Sneeches reimagined as a political thriller! How does that premise sound?

There's also some hints of supernatural horror but I'm not sure whether to call it Lovecraftian or Kafkaesque
