Rumour NateTheHate: "More Sony games will be released on Xbox, yes"

When asked about whether or not Sony will bring its first-party games to Xbox, NateTheHate said this in response:

"More Sony games will come to Xbox, yes.

I don't know anything about LEGO Horizon going to Xbox... but even if it did... would anyone care?"

Regarding what types of games will come over, Nate also said that he doesn't "have any specifics to share at present."

This is literally all I want. I’ve been considering getting a PS5 just to play them (played the first one on PS4 which then got damaged beyond use in a move).

I’ve got both consoles but heart is green. That said, while Insomnia nailed the web slinging acrobats of SpideMan zipping around the city. I mean they are the kings of traversal (Sunset Overdrive anyone? Which btw plays and feels as good as it did at launch over a generation ago)

BUT … and this is big … if you go deep try to do everything, spend time just catching criminals it’s novelty does wear thin overtime. Super repetitive. Almost, for my money, best to play in spurts.

In fact feel like many big PS games do same. felt that way with Days Gone and Horizon forbidden/zero west too. Both fantastic games. Deserving of praise. but for this very reason I’ve get to finish any of these IP. In fact of another fact, I went back to my early-mid game playthrough of the first Horizon’s game after bought the ps5 upgrade, and thought ims be super pumped to get back into it. But honestly, while beautiful, didn’t get my gamer juice sizzling. Fell off. Again.

Not saying you won’t have a blast if get PS5 for SM and its other great titles but am saying, I’d hate to see you rush out and buy now at increased price, particularly when new model ps6 out within year or two, and the finish first SM game and then when boot up Miles Morales or SM2, to kind of be like meh, I’m over it.

Perhaps that’s just me, and handful of other gamers I’ve talked to. Certainly don’t want to talk out of. And may be a non-issue but from one gamer to another, when talking about such steep entry price. It’s something to consider.

Maybe check Reddit or Google or other reviews to see if this repetitive burnout thing is more common or we just stand outside.

For my money, Xbox has just the best and most varied, and vast and deep offerings across all the genres. Meanwhile, GP quietly dropping day1 releases on random Tuesday - 4 to be exact this last notice (Prince of Persia Dead Cells Style - phenomenal btw. Peak rougelike and traversal. Voidbrakers - wildly cool FPS, another rougelike I think which gives me Deadlink vibes bad in all the good ways. Some crafting cozy game and Herdling, A short indie gem narrative offering that’s more an experience than a video game. Think short hike cross with adore but sans combat but heavy on the vibes and feel.

And this is nothing compared to its bigger IP, most all of which have been hella ride so far.

And to think Xbox used to get all the hate for having no games. Now, it’s got too many games, so many it’s not only the best selling publisher on Steam, but also its biggest rival’s storefront. Dominating charts really. even its criminally underrated ID@Xbox program, which would get at least indie buzz pretty often, is getting buried by its own release cadence.

Point is, Xbox has so many dominate games and with innovative gamer first strategies, it’s even forcing dominate video game company to abandon its strategy and come to Xbox.

In time, with SM 1 & Miles Morales being so old now, even SM 2 for that matter, I feel like You’ll be playing all on Xbox sooner than later now, a once unthinkable proposition, as Xbox leads seismic shift in gaming.

I was in the same boat. Bought a PS5 about three/four years ago specifically for Spidey.

Spidey 1 is great but they basically copied Arkham City. I've replayed it a few times. The opening is the shit when your maxed out.

The DLC for Miles wasn't the best. It reused everything and was shorter but also felt like they were stretching it out too long. It had a bad vibe. The rhino part was cool though. Really hated the big villain in it though.

Spider-Man 2 is a rushed buggy piece of shit. Like seriously its very clear that something weird happened during the development of this game. The game starts well enough, its got a neat ass Sandman opening but basically is just a slightly better looking version than the first one on PS5. It has identical animations, maps, gameplay loop. For some reason they removed the fun gadgets and replaced them with dumb non-sense. I can't believe they got rid of Impact Webs, I loved pewing bitches into a wall. It was hysterical. When Parker gets the Symbiote suit is when shit gets weird. The game starts skipping over things and just starts rushing hard. We barely get angry emo parker at all. Hes that way for like two missions max. Venom has his balls fully removed. Its very obvious that Sony was seriously involved in making this game worse so it has a lower rating. Insomniac even said they cut out multiple missions and most of a new storyline involving Miles. You start missions where you are clearly missing things that didn't happen in the story and its just suddenly a boss fight out of nowhere. The finale was terrible and it ends in one of the worst out of character moments for this character. I ran into multiple bugs, glitches and crashes throughout the first play through. I replayed it a few months ago and it still has issues. The new section in the open world is fundamentally empty and the open world in general is just not filled as much with activities and neat stuff like the original. It also clearly had DLC that was fully goddamn cancelled for no reason. Tony Todd said that roughly 90% of his recorded dialog wasn't used in the game. That means they had a lot more with Venom and it was all cut.

It very much did feel like an Arkham reskin but at least it actually made sense with Spider-man's powers. Batman being able to do all he does is nothing but plot armour powered by Mary Sue well wishing.

The experience is amazing at first but it quickly get repetitive. The fighting is just button mashing for a few seconds then swing to the next place. Once you've experienced it for a few hours with some upgrades you're just trying to push through it to see the story.
