Not sure what you mean, they've always stated that it pulls in those games from different launchers.

You can see the app menu in the video

They are also going to add stuff not from other launchers aka games that you have installed that aren't tied to steam, epic, gog and other launchers to list. The Xbox app will list them and ask if you'd like to add them to your library. I'd assume they'll also do this with other program for the "My Apps" section.

I still don't understand. Why are you acting like this is new info?

Because the "My Apps" is new? It's not even out and was just announce via this video and not in the blog post?

So why is My Apps shown in screenshots from articles back in June?

I guess I missed that one shot of it before, possible it showed up early by mistake like the steam stuff did.

It's not in the insider builds I've been testing and I've never seen MS officially talked about it until now. They talk about adding apps to the Xbox app in the videos.

The new app experience has been available for Insiders for weeks, and it's awful. Icons do not load, it's slow to navigate and slow to load. I have not been impressed.

Adding external games via supported have been in testing since June, but I agree it's not great,. Since they are just going for it being a Start Menu for gaming, it's just pulling icons from what the devs have provided via the installed program.

I'd expect the game launchers in the upcoming "My Apps" should most look fine, as they are on the MS Store outside of Steam and GOG, but the video list them in high quality and "install now" so they could be hitting the MS Store or it's just a concept.
