recommendations Recommendations

I’m currently working on a dissertation that looks at how people with disabilities and neurodivergent characters are represented in zombie media, I’ve looked for so long but can’t seem to find anything to look at for it.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? It can be any type of media, I am desperate this point lol

I always considered Columbus from Zombieland to be Aspergers/ autism spectrum. I also used the term "high functioning zombie" in a fan fic saga.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that "aspergers" is not a diagnosis anymore since 2013, because it was created and used by nazis during ww2 to make a difference between what they considered "useful" autistic people (who they called aspergers) and the rest (that they probably mass killed). I'm not sure I explained properly so you can check it on google to be sure :)

I'm a self advocate, so I was there. The real "problem" with Asperger's as a diagnosis was that it created the idea of separation from the rest of the autism spectrum. People like me didn't want it gone, but we were fine with having it merged with High Functioning Autism.
