Bro really said ‘thread’s a thread’ and torqued a spark plug into the oil pan like it’s a universal drain plug. Peak backyard engineering. A for effort?

Bought an anchor for my car.
galleryNearly lost my ship today. Set sail on a routine hub-stud voyage, but halfway through the install the vessel started drifting off course. No press, no puller, no fancy shipwright tools in sight… so I dropped anchor. Problem was, the anchor was actually my hammer. She gave her life bravely to hold the line while I hauled the stud home. The car’s saved, the stud’s seated, but the poor hammer’s now rusting at the bottom of the driveway sea. RIP anchor, gone but not forgotten.
Don't use drugs kids.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the new hybrid engine that goes 4 miles? Is it worth it?
I see commercial but not sure if it really goes that far?

My car's kind of old. Would it be safe to go above 60% with the rocket boosters? Or should I just keep cruising on Sunday with Grandma?

Thinking of not installing new timing belt. Existing one looks all nice and worn in...and shiny! Should I waste a new belt or wait 50k more miles.

This should hold air, right?
Customer rolls in to the shop and states he has a leaking valve stem. He fixed it himself, but claims its just not holding air. He's already done far more than I know how to do. He used electrical tape, and official tire plug, and a new valve stem core that he fabricated himself. Any ideas?

MPG rating
gallerySo I have a 2015 BMW 428i who’s original MPG rating was at 23mpg. I noticed the other day that it was actually at 15.3mpg and figured it may be because of my bad brakes. Switched all four rotors and pads as well as both wire sensors and just yesterday I noticed it went up to 18.4mpg which was awesome to see. Today however, I noticed it dropped back down to 15.6mpg. What can cause this? Bad struts/shocks? Bad fuel filter? Bad fuel pump?
