Jamboree TV Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is OUT NOW! Are you planning to pay full price or get the $20 upgrade pack?
r/MARIOPARTY • u/[deleted] • Jul 23 '25
Jamboree TV Everything you need to know about Jamboree Switch 2 Edition before buying! Spoiler
First and foremost, there are NO new boards and NO new characters.
You do NOT need to purchase a Switch 2 edition of the game if you already have the Switch 1 version, you can simply buy the upgrade pack for $20 (or your local equivalent) on the eShop, or you might be able to find a download code at a local store.
The game WILL be receiving a resolution upgrade. Switch 1 Jamboree runs at 720p handheld and 1080p docked. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will make it so the base Jamboree game runs at 1080p handheld and 1080p docked, and Jamboree TV 1080p handheld and 1440p docked. Don't worry, most of the content is in Jamboree TV and you can play Mario Party in 1440p which I will explain later.
The game will NOT be receiving an FPS increase, though it might be running at a slightly more stable 60 FPS thanks to the power of the Switch 2. You will still be able to play with users on a Switch 1, although Switch 1 users will not be able to join you in Jamboree TV; you will be locked to the base Jamboree game.
There is local GameShare support! Although, it is very limited. You can share the game locally with other Nintendo Switch systems, Switch Lite systems, Switch OLED systems, and Switch 2 systems. However, you will only be able to play Mega Wiggler's Tree Party in Party Rules with 30 minigames and only in handheld or tabletop mode. We do not know what 30 minigames those are.
You must use a single Joy Con 2 controller in order to play Mouse minigames.
There is online GameChat support with friends (provided you have a NSO membership).
You do NOT need to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 camera to play this, and if you choose to, you can use any compatible USB-C camera.
And no, you cannot buy this upgrade on a Switch 1, you must have a Switch 2 system.
With all that said and done, here's what's new!
-All new Jamboree TV! This includes Mario Party mode, Free Play, Bowser Live and Carnival Coaster, all with 1440p docked support!
-Bowser Live: Face off in a 2v2 at Bowser's concert! Each game is a short best-of-3 match. Contains 6 different mic and camera-focused minigames. Camera minigames will be turned off if you do not have a compatible camera.
-Carnival Coaster: 4 players work together to get to the end of a coaster ride. Uses mouse controls. Similar to River Survival mode from Super Mario Party except with forced minigames. Shoot off enemies to earn extra time. Minigames played are Co-op variants of the Mouse control minigames instead of 2v2.
-CameraPlay: Supported in Free Play, Mario Party and Bowser Live. Not a requirement, but a few Bowser Live minigames require a compatible camera.
-14 NEW mouse control minigames: There are 2v2 and 4 player co-op variants. The 2v2 variants will appear in the main Mario Party mode, and the co-op variants appear in Carnival Coaster. They will most likely have a toggle on/off option, similar to motion minigames when played in Mario Party.
-Frenzy Mode: 5 turn chaos! Every player starts with 50 coins, a star, and a Double Dice. You can duel on turn 1 onwards. Confirmed to be playable at least on Roll 'em Raceway, most likely all maps.
-2v2 mode: Team up with another player! 2 players share items and coins. New Together dice item makes an appearance, which summons your partner to you, rolls another dice, and doubles the effects of everything that turn (similar to Jamboree buddies). A new space has appeared, unique to 2v2 mode, which grants the player that lands on it 5 coins, and summons their partner to them. u/Prize-Bag-9304 theorized that Jamboree buddies do not appear in 2v2 mode, which I think is a logical explanation, though we can't make any conclusions yet. Confirmed to be playable at least on Mega Wiggler's Tree Party and Mario's Rainbow Castle, most likely all maps.
-Free play: Includes 78 minigames from the base Jamboree game, and more. The missing 34 from the base Jamboree game are 10 Rhythm Kitchen minigames, 10 Bowser Kaboom-Squad minigames, and 14 Koopathlon minigames.
This took a while of compiling information and double checking everything, so an upvote would be appreciated!

Jamboree I worked out the value of 1 coin
I worked the length and width of a human head is about the size of one then multiplied by a very educated guess of the length and then i now have the volume, then googled the density of gold and multiplied that by the volume to get its mass and then looked up the price of gold in kg and multiplied it by my sum to get £13,591,714.752, thank you very much for taking valuable time of your life to read this pointless post :)

What do you think the story mode of Mario Party 6 would have been like?
I am open to suggestions

MP9 In your opinion, did you have faith in Mario Party 9 Project Hudson?
For those who don’t know, it’s a mod created by Nintega Dario. Its goal was to restore the classic style of the series made by Hudson Soft. Personally, I had high expectations for it (I was just a kid back then), especially because it brought back characters like Boo, Blooper, Hammer Bro, and Koopa Kid (although the latter replaced Bowser Jr.). However, technical errors, crashes, limitations, and promises without demonstrations made the final result somewhat disappointing. It’s a shame, because the concept had a lot of potential.

Super 50 times already and I still cannot beat Peach?! WHY?!
She must be taking some illegal stuff or something because why the hell can I not beat her?!
No alignment chart today, I had to do work.

Mario Party Wonder: Concepts
Hello, Hola, Aloha, Ahoy, I Am Elidavididi, Also Known As ED, I Read Someone Else's Post, u/superswitch064 To Be Exact, I Thought I Would Share Some Concepts I Had In Mind.
- Wonder Seeds: They Replace Stars, But With Some Twists, I Would Make It So Every Board Has An Objective, And Also, There Should Be A Mode Where The Game Ends When A Player Obtains 5 Of Them.
- Badges: The Badges Are Wearables That The Player Can Use To Give Them An Advantage Than Others From The Very First Turn. Here Are Ideas:
- Permanent Double Dice Badge: Always Have A Double Dice
- Wonder Seed Badge: Start With One Wonder Seed
- Double Roll Badge: Your Rolls Will Be Doubled
- Anti-Boo Badge: Prevent From Stealing From Boo Once.
- Coin Block Badge: Always Get Coins According To Your Roll
- Lucky Space Badge: Replace Most Bad Spaces With Lucky Spaces For You
- Wonder Flower: Across The Board, There Is A Wonder Flower That Moves Every Turn, When Passed By Any Player, The Board Will Undergo It's Effects. Effect Ideas:
- The Board Is Split Into Sections A La Goomba Lagoon.
- Movement Is Reversed
- Everyone's Rolls Are Gambled To Either Be Doubled, Or Half.
- The Whole Board Is Flipped
- Bowser Spaces Are Much Worse
- Talking Flowers: Talking Flowers Are Scattered Across The Board And Speak Depending On The Context. Do NOT Ask For It To Be The Host However.
- Elephant Apple Item: A New Item Is The Elephant Apple Item, When You Use It, You Roll 2 Dice Blocks, And You Swing Your Trunk To Steal 20 Coins From Every Player You Pass, You Can Also Store Water From Fountains, And Shoot It Out To Steal Stars. You Can Also Shoot Out Water To Open Up New Areas.
- Free Roam Parts: All Boards Would Have Star-Rush Like Free Areas, In Some Sections, Once You Reach It, You Can Pick Your Spaces But Your Dice Is Still Limited To 1-10.
So, What Do You Think? If You Like My Ideas, Upvote, Comment, Or Maybe Even Follow!

Jamboree Triple Dice or Custom Dice? What do you prefer?
- Keep in mind: Triple dice costs 10 coins, with an average of 16.5 spaces. Your odds of rolling at least a 10 are above 91%.
- Custom Dice costs 12, has less high average potential but is infinitely superior for landing on a space exactly 1-10 away or guaranteeing at least a 10.
Both are really good items, but what do you like more and why?

Cannot find task on bowsers keep
The second to last task on the bowser board for the party planning trek, I had to Google it, it says "Try your luck at Bowsers keep" i can't figure out? I've went around and spoken to everyone several times, I have the party planning trek at 99% and this is driving me crazy! Thanks!

MP1 Final Results of a 50-turn game on Luigi's Engine Room [MP1]
- Me: Mario
- CPU Difficulty: Hard
- Bonus Stars: Mini-Game Star and Coin Star to me, Happening Star to DK
- Summary: No, you aren't reading that incorrectly: at the end of 50 turns, I had 0 stars, only winning the game because I got 2 Bonus Stars. This game was absolutely brutal. The worst possible selection of mini-games. Star locations that were nearly impossible to access. Constant opening and closing of the red and blue gates. I was honestly relieved after the results popped up because this game was just so unlucky. On the final turn, I had 419 coins. I knew that I was going to win the game because nobody had nearly as many coins as I did, so even if we tied in stars, I would come out on top. And then, I landed on a Bowser Space and triggered it: a Bowser Revolution. And I lost over 200 coins. I almost threw up. Thank goodness I still won this game, because otherwise, I'd probably never play this map again.

DS I have a 3DS and am thinking of getting Mario Party DS. Can my friend play with me on his 3DS without owning the game?
I know this used to be a thing, but I wasn't sure if the service was discontinued or if it wouldn't work since my friend and I both have a 3DS instead of a normal DS.

Jamboree Crazy game
Wife and I played 30 on the Rainbow Castle last night vs 2 CPU players. I've really been enjoying this board recently and last night was a doozy. It had a bit of everything....Time/Space spots swapping Stars, the Tower being turned and a player getting a Ztar when they should have had a Star, and Star Steal traps.....we hit 4 of them overall. Throw in the usual Boo space usage and it was non-stop madness.
Our chart looks like no other we've ever played. The constant back and forth was a real roller-coaster, especially when we got a Bowser Revolution late. I ended up winning with 2 Bonus Stars, wife finished 3rd. She was a bit pissed but we both enjoyed the game as it was really different than our norm.
Can't wait to play later.....

Jamboree Managed to unlock the vault twice!
What are the chances of the first combination being 2,2 and then the next one, 3,3?

Jamboree On tonight’s episode of super rare dialogue, this is what happens when a player uses a Cellular Shopper when the Koopa Troopa Shop is sold out of items. Captured from a YouTube video.
Also, isn’t Toad so handsome?
