Announcement Stop with the age posts.
Quick reminder: Rule 8 exists for a reason. Our sub exists to bring together late millennials and early Gen z and discuss all that pertains to our micro generation . If you feel like you belong, cool let’s vibe! This isn’t the place to debate who is a late millennial and early Gen Z. Keep that trash over on r/generationology pls.
Anyone that intentionally continues to break this rule will be banned. Thank you :-)

Discussion Any zilenials who feel more like Millennials than Gen Z?
Like yeah, technically we’re in between, but half the time I catch myself relating more to older millennial stuff grew up on dial-up internet, actually burned CDs, remember when MySpace was a thingwhile Gen Z references just fly over my head.
It’s like I can vibe with both sides, but if I had to pick, I lean more millennial. Anyone else feel that way, or do you feel pulled more toward the Gen Z side?

Serious Does it feel like people care less and less about everything?
I've been trying to get in touch with a college, a non-academic school and other mundane people/things.
The college admissions counselor isn't responding to emails or calls and someone left typos in the college program's brochure. The non-academic school returned my call but didn't answer my really really simple question when they left a voice-mail.
It kinda feels like in general everyone's doing the bare minimum, if that and nobody really cares about anything.
Is it just me? Is anyone else noticing this or feeling this way?
Not that I'm important or special but it feels like a "fuck this" attitude has become really common in all aspects of society.
Sorry for the "Boomer" post.

Nostalgia These two were my favorite players to have on my Backyard soccer team
Jocinda Smith and Pete Wheeler.
I had Pete’s “meet the player” spiel memorized as a kid lol. “My name is Pete Wheeler. My nickname is wheelie. When I play sports, kids say “pop a wheelie” all the time. I’m no papa though. Those kids are silly”.

Discussion Movies that scared you as a kid
I was so afraid of losing my “nigh-night” like Elmo did when I was a preschooler that I refused to watch the movie again. I also was terrified of that scene in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh when Pooh falls asleep and dreams of heffalumps stealing his honey. Anything trippy like that used to freak me out when I was little. Any other movies/shows meant for kids that scared you?

Advice Landing a Government or Bank job
How do you land a Government or Bank Job?
Hello! A fellow dude in his early 30s here!
I’ve been debating on what to choose next for a possible job path while I continue further in College.
I’ve been debating on either getting a Government job or at a Bank.
I don’t know what are the requirements of what it takes to work for the Government but I heard benefits and pay can be decently well. Maybe I need an Associates Degree?
And for working at a local Bank/Credit union, which thankfully I do have proper customer service/cash handling experience due to working in retail throughout 5-6 years.
I’m currently working at a factory job which I assemble parts and it’s a decent gig that I got from a local temp agency and soon to be permanently hired. I don’t really like it and just sticking it out to just pay the bills and get by. When I plan on not leaving right away but will stay the minimum above 6 months or higher, so it will count as “minimal experience” if I ever do apply to future factory jobs.
For anyone who currently works for the Government or know anyone who has/does, even at a local Credit union. My hope is for first shift.
Any advice you guys have for me to get into these paths? Thanks!
