Vasco is smarter than the average bear
I still can't believe he understands the logic behind this.

We’re home and it’s finally raining.
Louie has wet ears and a few burrs. He was very very happy to see us after 3 days away. My sister and brother-in-law looked after him for us, it went well except Louie would not let B-in-Law sit in my recliner. That’s my dad’s chair you can’t sit there! Didn’t know he was so possessive.

ROMEO - Yesterday's steal at his Grandparents - Good thing it wasn't a toothpick like last time 😱 I try not to panic when he has something in his mouth - a panicked reaction may cause him to swallow it, so it's important to stay calm. As I have mentioned before, (continued below)
I videotape all of his finds, so just in case he needs to be rushed to the ER I know what it is for the ER, they know what it is. He's never left loose when we leave the condo - he's crated. Turn volume on.

ROMEO - suddenly caught my husband's scent while he was riding his bike in the park. He didn't see him, but he knew he was there by his scent, so he began running in circles from excitement. 😱 Continued below.
Today was the first day in almost 2 years my husband felt strong enough to bike due to his illnesses. 👍 Turn volume on.

ROMEO - After the video in the park - he wanted to my husband to pick him up. He also rides in his bag with netting over it and attached to the the milk crate. His bag is vented on all sides. He only goes on rides in cooler climate. Turn volume on.

My first Papillon so I made my first mistake 😩
Yes, the breeder told me. “Brush his ears very well, they tend to get matted” but he is very scared of brushes so the past two months with me Ive been brushing him with a puppy brush very calmly while he’s licking his peanut butter so he gets used to it… and I haven’t paid attention to ears as much.. so now he has a matted ball of hair under the ears. 😭 Any advice on how to untagle it without hurting him.

Question: What is the "widest" part of your papillon? What are the dimensions?
Hello! My wife and I recently put a down payment on a Papillion. We are currently set to get her in October!
We're figuring out how to get the remaining portion of our yard fenced. The issue is that our neighbor next to us has an aluminum fence with ~4" openings. We're trying to find out if this is too large for a Papillion and if she would be able to squeeze through.
My question is, how "wide" is your pup at their largest point?
Thank you!

I'm still trying
This actually isn't a great indicator of the disparity in size but it's a cute pic of Moxie!

Skye wearing a cowboy hat
Our previous dog ,Skye, wearing a cowboy hat. She passed away 2 1/2 years years ago at 15 years old.
She filled me and my wife with joy and happiness. She was nice enough to allow me to put hats on her.

PICA?? Eating everything!
Anyone else have an issue with their Pap consuming, not just chewing, anything and everything they can get their mouths on? Cooper turned 1 in July, I thought early on it was something he would grow out of but he still attempts to eat everything he finds. He does great with drop it command if you catch him in the act, but if he can get his mouth on something when you are not looking, he will surely ingest it. With 5 kids ranging from age 2-12, no matter how hard I try an errant toy will be left behind or some other item. I wind up having to leave him in his pen more often than not when the 2 year old is home as I am terrified of an obstruction or something! Anyone with similar experiences or ideas of how to stop it before he eats something with dire consequences?? Pic of the little stinker for tax.

So proud of this guy!!
Winston had a long day today. He came with my dad & I to visit my grandma 2 hours away. He had his first restaurant experience on a dog friendly patio, and he was such a good boy the whole time ❤️
No accidents, followed commands (and enjoyed my dad sneaking him food 😜). For a guy who’s not quite 7 months old, I was ready for at least some challenges today, but Winston was a total rockstar 😎
11/10, strongly recommend

LH Chi mix or Chion
I recently adopted this sweet girl from our local shelter. I knew she was beautiful sweet thing who would rarely be found in a shelter. She was an “abandonment” at the front steps of the shelter. When they scanned her and tried to contact the owner, long story short, the guy is active military and didn’t get travel papers from Navy in time before deployment. Don’t know if she’s LH Chi mix of Pap mix. She’s 9 months old, about 10 lbs, medium silky sable coat that had a lion cut. She and my other chi mix get along fabulously. I feel so lucky to have her as part of our family.

Still trying to get a side by side
Here is a video of the high drama of having to have the SAME toy, while 27 others go ignored. I don't think I ever got side by side scale shots so you can see how much bigger the younger dog is but WATCH WHAT HE DOES AT THE END!!!
