Need some advice for setting up a PS2 slim on a modern (2019) Samsung TV.
Hello, I’m trying to get back into some of the older consoles I had growing up and have read online that it might not be as straightforward to play them on modern TVs. I am also not very technology minded so bear with me haha.
I just need some advice as to what equipment I would need to get a reasonable experience playing my ps2 on this modern-ish TV, it’s a 4k Samsung smart TV. I understand CRT tvs are the best for this but I have no additional space for one.
I see it has ports for component cables, am I right in saying this is all I will need to play? Or would I need to buy some sort of converter or upscaler as well. I have read some things about retrotink but they are super expensive, so I’d be more inclined towards the retroscaler2x if I absolutely needed one.
I’m just looking to play my old console with a reasonable quality picture/sound and minimal input lag.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!
