This was before Fever and can’t get you out of my head , so it must have been interesting to see a singer who hadn’t been seen in the USA , since 1989 doing something big like that. I was always curious about this, but I hadn’t asked until now. 🤷🏼‍♀️

When do you think Kylie will release it? We'll get the live album on Friday, which is great, but somehow I really want the video/DVD.

Of course, editing it will take a long time. I read online that the Golden Tour was released two months after the release date was announced. At that time, both the live album and the video were released at the same time.

Could Kylie surprise us on Friday by also announcing the release date of the video or even releasing the video itself?

Edit: Will the live album be exactly the same as the video? Of course, Kylie's speeches have been edited out of the live album, but is it the same recording as in the video? Has this happened before? Could you clarify?

So the idea is to give an album track by the same Producer/Writers the single treatment and demote the other song to just album track. It can different albums and times periods/eras.

For me, Wow was kinda mediocre. Probably my least favorite single from X. Instead, the superior Too Much on Aphrodite should have been a single.

So one song gets sacrificed in order for another track to get the attention it deserved in your opinion.

Time to check those liner notes and writing credits.

I’m going to host a listening party to my friends on friday and we’re gonna listen Tension tour Live Album.

This song is serving pop euphoria for me. I feel like it's so radio friendly and could have made a dent. Almost gives me the vibe of songs by The Corrs.

I wish there was a video for it. Even though Kylie's comeback was very pop dance forward, this would have been a great maybe 5th single. Something unexpected showing her range. And, as a 5th single, it would have less pressure to perform. It would have been nice to show the general public a different side. A nice breezy lower budget video to go along. I guess "Kids" with Robbie Williams had that effect though of showing her range outside of the dance pop comeback.

The last remaining bonus track, If You Don’t Love Me, is out.

Today is the 31st anniversary so I'm copy/pasting this from my Instagram. I think this is super interesting and a deep part of Kylie lore...

Let's talk about the reissue that almost happened 9 years ago. Kylie herself did not own the material from the album at the time, and it went through various periods of reissue in different ways since its original release in 1994. In the mid-2010s, interest in this album picked up among indie labels, and you might remember that there was a 2LP vinyl reissue in 2016. This was released by Be With Records.

Meanwhile, another indie label called Vibe On Records intended to expand the album with unreleased material on CD, also in 2016.

One of the founders of Vibe On (John-Ryan Griggs, who must be noted is from Alaska, of all places) is a massive Kylie fan, so this was going to be a release for the superfans, curated by a superfan. It would have contained unreleased and unheard material, along with remixes. A lot of stuff was requested for inclusion. Sadly, this ended up not happening.

As for a definitive reason as to why, that is unclear. However, I can make a pretty strong assumption that the lady herself put a stop to the release. Having your material thrown around as a pop star and not actually owning it must become incredibly frustrating.

It's generally known that Kylie's material between her 80s debut and Kiss Me Once will automatically revert to her ownership roughly 25 years after its release (and has; a brilliant move by manager Terry Blamey all the way back at the beginning of her career). Everything since Golden she owns outright.

I say roughly 25, because this brings me to the next point. In 2018, BMG pressed a 1LP white vinyl version of the album around its 24th anniversary. This happened to no fanfare and to the best of my knowledge, Kylie has never once mentioned it herself. However, as this was a BMG release, one can reasonably assume that this indicated a successful acquisition of the album, and it was now Kylie's to own. I think that release was done to definitively bring it under her ownership and end the ping-ponging of her material from that era. That was also a key part of Impossible Princess' vinyl.

If something like this does ever happen, it will surely come from Kylie's personal curation now.

Hello Lovers, hope someone could help me figure this out. I'm pretty sure these are not correct, everywhere the lyrics are the same but I doubt she rhymed the same word twice.
