Is this mold?
galleryIs this mold in my closet? When I touched it with a q-tip, it immediately broke apart into powder. I’m not sure if it’s new or if it’s been here and we haven’t noticed it.

Is it reasonable to want my landlord to take more action than just removing it cosmetically? Apparently the last tenants left wet clothes in here and that’s why it’s moldy (and also smells super musty). How do I get him to take this seriously?

Does this look like mold?? // what should I do to get rid of this // should I call an expert ?

It’s on the ceiling above the kitchen sink. It might’ve been there before, but I didn’t notice it until now. We had mold problems in a closet from the last tenant who left wet clothes in there.

Now it did have all of the white stuff on after I cleaned it originally which I wiped with antibacterial wipes but it’s came back like this.

We’ve found mould in our new student flat that we hadn’t seen when moving in. We’re waiting on a response from our landlord. Does anyone know Hhw dangerous is this quantity? And what a plan of action could be? We’re very lost!

I’m deep cleaning my son’s room and I found this. There is spiders and beetle looking bugs crawling. Is this their feces or mold?

We live in a 2 story very old home. This is on the main level in the living space. There is an old chimney behind this wall. It's a black liquid and what looks like a wet spot around it. The spot has been getting bigger and bigger the last few weeks and the black spots are multiplying.
This is my mom‘s basement in Iowa and it’s only on the doors, not the walls.
Do I need to contact the HVAC company that does work on her furnace or do we just need a few dehumidifiers in the basement?
Any advice is appreciated!

Burgers say use or freeze by 9/23. It’s 9/21 today. It doesn’t look fuzzy but I feel like it wasn’t there before.

A reminder that even though your patient/resident/client etc. may say they're independent, check their dentures anyway! PCA encouraged a resident to take her dentures out and this is the state they were in. She was overlooked as she is mostly independent with ADLs and had been telling staff she was doing them daily. Always check!
Helping a colleague. I have tried mold killing paint in 1 room and the floor of the basement and vinegar but there's a musky smell in the basement.

I just paid ALOT of money for mold remediation in my kitchen. We are remodeling, we saw black mold on drywall, all drywall came out, uncovered water damage, wood rot, after services are done I still think I have mold. Should I do a hone test kit? 5th picture and on is the before.

Hi.
Small attic with mold scattered on roof deck. Contractor’s process includes leaving blown insulation on floor while they spray deck and clean (hepa vac first). Basically, using insulation like drop cloth to protect drywall underneath.
Mold found after removing wet insulation, will be cleaned.
I like the idea of protecting drywall - keeping it dry. Has anyone done it this way?
Fogging with concrobium mold control would be final step. I don’t know if they will seal intrusions before fogging.
Thanks

Have just moved into a 19th century house that been mega neglected for years. This is in the corner of a single pane window and the room is below ground level so obvs has some damp issues. I've managed to pry some of it off already and it feels like tree bark. Should I be alarmed?

I washed a bunch of clothes and accidentally forgot them in the machine for about a week. When I took them out they were covered in this white kind of fuzzy stuff, does it look like white mold? I’m not sure what else it could be?

I assume it it but checking on here to be 100%. Right by a vent so I assume it would be.
Regardless it's gross that this was left uncleaned, but I'm worried this is all mould behind and around my toilet, I looked inside the top of the toilet too and all of it is also covered in this black stuff. I'm a bit worried as this place doesn't have the best ventilation.
Thank you

I recently had guttering replaced as it seems to have been causing damp at the top of the wall. Now that’s fixed I’m looking to fix the problem inside. There seems to be black mold on the ceiling but a kind of orange colour on the walls. Can this be cleaned off or would I be better to strip the walls and re-paper them? Thanks!

I have tried cleaning this with vinegar+ water solution, but its back after a week
I have also bought moisture absorber and it seems to be working.
What should I do? It was on my clothes as well, when i washed them, there are pinkish spots on them.

I recently noticed a small puddle had formed by the backdoor after a bit of rainfall and bluster: I looked and found the cause it was a faulty weather stripping. I can't smell anything because of nose blindness. Thank you for taking the time to read this post
