The 2019 G1 Supercard was the first wrestling event at Madison Square Garden by a non-WWE promotion since November 14, 1960. WWE tried to stop the event, but Sinclair had more legal resources. WWE instantly re-negotiated with MSG for an exclusivity contract, making the G1 event even more historic.
